Two movies I enjoyed recently. Both very concise and beautiful.
Watched this tonight. It was entertaining in a Lone Survivor kind of way. That "fantastic" rating by the other person was maybe a bit much but I enjoyed it.tequila4kapp said:Someone mentioned to me over the weekend that this move was FANTASTIC.bearister said:

Say, has your subscription to the resurrection been canceled yet?
(That right there could be a movie!)

Anyways, in wake of Treat Williams dying.
I thought I'd rewatch the first episode of Everwood, which aired in 2002.
And it's still very good.
Very, very good.
I urge you all to give it a try.
If you have Amazon Prime, just type in "Everwood" in your search bar. And watch Season 1, Episode 1.
Give it a try! I think you'll like it.
(And it has Chris Pratt, if he's your kind of guy.)
Williams died Monday.
John Beasley, the show's narrator and co-star, died May 30.
Anne Heche, who appeared in a later season, died last year.
So much death.
But it's a good show.

"This is a genre thriller. Yet it’s an urgent and honest one, and Caviezel gives his most committed performance since 'The Passion of the Christ.'"

REVIEW: 'Sound of Freedom,' the QAnon-tinged thriller about child-trafficking, is designed to appeal to the conscience of a conspiracy-addled boomer. https://t.co/XSFFsWV6Me

Wasn't me but I really enjoyed this mvvie.tequila4kapp said:Someone mentioned to me over the weekend that this move was FANTASTIC.bearister said:
I will confess that I bristle when I feel like sexuality is forced on the audience for the sake of apparent inclusivity, etc. Without giving anything away about the movie, that is definitely not the case here - addressing homosexuality is being true to the main character and allows the movie to explore a core dynamic in the relationship that is central to the movie.concordtom said:
I recently saw the trailer and decided not to watch because it showed a gay lean by the star. And now look, I've got absolutely nothing against folks that are gay, and I feel for their social struggle (!). But I don't like films that are created with often the sole objective of putting gay characters in the face of the audience so as to normalize it. I want a film , not a lecture.
But if you say it's that good, I'll watch it!!
And report back here.
