I don't know many religious folks who keep it to themselves. The Great Commission and all that.
Not sure you're being serious here, but when I was younger most religious people I knew were private about it for the most part. And then there were some of the born agains that were ...well...people I tended to stay away from because they were often in your face about it.
Well, you must be thinking about a religion other than Christianity.
The Great Commission, from Matthew 28:16-20, is a commandment directly from Jesus to share the gospel. We don't get to pick and choose what we want to obey and what we don't. God is not there for us to edit and shape in our own image. That edited god is some other god and not the one true Christian God.
As Jesus said, if you are ashamed of me, I will be ashamed of you in front of My Father.
So, no I am not kidding. And there is no born again and non-born again Christians. If you are not born again, you are not a Christian. You have to die to yourself and to the world and be reborn in Him. That is what born again means and that is what it means to be Christian. Not some Trump version of "I never asked for forgiveness because i haven't done anything wrong." Being born again and obeying the Great Commission are basic parts of the gospel.
