These quotes do not exonerate Trump! To the contrary, I think this CLEARLY demonstrates Trump's desire to use the military for his political gain. He wanted to stage 10,000 uniforms as a prop, which he would then be the mouthpiece of. And who knows if he would then have given the assembled young men orders as Commander In Chief.

There was no need for ANYONE to be assembled on January 6, other than Congress. It would been a lonely day in DC had Trump not sought to create chaos.

The pool of candidates is more or less limited to those from the swamp. A MIC skeptic or contrarian like colonel Macgregor, whose advice Trump sought, would have a very hard time getting confirmed to a cabinet position.

BTW I am not a Trump purist, I think he is compromised on issues like Israel, and that his polarizing effect is highly counterproductive, to the point where it is no longer worth supporting his candidacy. This being said his main opponent is even worse.
