I don't think you'll see the same kinds of protests you did last time. The left seems mostly focused on regrouping for the next election.

Tax cuts have proven to be an economic failure for the middle class. Because "tax cuts" don't really benefit the middle class. Taxes actually fall on the middle class when you pass "tax cuts."
Fees, service costs, assessments and the like all RISE when public coffers suffer. Things have to be paid for, so when you pass sweeping cuts - where the high income and corporations realize the gains - the burden falls squarely on the middle and working classes.
California has Prop 13. But each and every election year, property owners see an endless array of "supplemental property tax assessments" hit the ballot.
"Save the schools!"
"Fund more police!"
"Save your parks!"
"Strop crime!"
"Save the libraries!"
"Save the kittens!"

It's endless. Currently, the City of Oakland has 30 supplemental property tax assessments. With this latest election, how many more will we see?

These costs are born by homeowners and renters.

High marginal income taxation is what paid for the great University of California, as well as the interstate highway system, the national parks, and even won WWII without incurring debt. Higher corporate taxes too.

Corporate tax cuts of 2017 DID NOT bring ANY more prosperity to working Americans. The promised raises never happened, nor did the bonuses.

What DID happen is stock buybacks, formerly illegal, now used as a share value booster.

Great for the small minority of Americans who have a lot of money in the stock market, not so great for everyone else.

Tax cuts are Reagan's biggest ruse. So easy to fool Americans. Tax cuts pass themselves!

Yeah, I thought maybe the Trump Fatigue was going to result in him losing, but he pulled out another one anyway. I think the fatigue still sets in. People will pay less attention to him (something he also might not be happy about).
