So voter turnout was actually low?
I haven't seen the numbers but someone told me Kamala and Trump drew fewer voters than in 2020 during COVID. Seems hard to believe. Did I hear incorrectly?

Congrats! You're gonna lose your Social Security, but at least you helped Elon Musk add another $100 billion to his fortune.
It's low compared to 2020, but 2020 was super high. Seems like this one is more in line with a typical Presidential year.dimitrig said:

As of maybe an hour ago Trump had 1M fewer votes than 2020 as of a few hours ago Harris had @14M fewer votes than 2020 Biden.dimitrig said:

Trae Crowder explains BRILLIANTLY to Trump supporters why they shouldn't be spiking the football for voting against their own self-interests.

I like that guy. He speaks rapidly like Vivek Ramaswamy but, unlike Ramaswamy, he is not criminally insane.smh said:

If Trump won in 2020, he would’ve had a Democrat House and Senate
More impeachments, no Senate confirmations, no bills passed, and possibly the end of the MAGA movement as an effective political force
But now?
He has the House, Senate, Supreme Court, a…

Unbelievable. Did people just stay home or what? What has the turnout been?
We need to reckon with what is happening here: Trump is winning because he's improved his margins with various racial minorities (not winning them outright, but doing better). It's not enough to just complain about racism or whatever anymore.
Now I kind of do think a lot of this is Trump-specific. Not sure another Republican would be doing so well here. But he has as kind of weird charisma that just works.
How do you have a guy that lost the popular vote twice come back and win it after having done nothing but complain he was cheated for four years? And he is more popular than ever? Even people in his own party came out against him. Makes no sense.

We saw record turnout of Gen Z and millennial voters, but somehow Dem lost 20 million votes from 2020?

On what planet does that make sense?
How does that math work? Those figures imply only 30,000,000 families even if the entire burden of the tariffs is borne by consumers.DiabloWags said:

Why was 2020 super high? With this election being so
close you would think turnout would be higher than average. Why did so many stay home this time?
