Amen, brother.

Fortunately, the guy that oversaw a 40.43% growth in our national debt during his previous four years in office sure seems like the right person to responsibly and safely handle this situation. I'm so glad we didn't choose from any other alternatives on the conservative side. He's the right guy for this one.

LET'S GET THIS!

MAGA!

A majority of the population saw through this smear because they realize a once in a lifetime pandemic ripped up the US towards the end of Trump's term. Every country in the world grew their national debt to help its citizens while their economies were shut down.

What I'm saying is, he's the guy to fix this!

To your point, remove the effects of COVID and average out the other years: only on track to grow the national debt by a mere 4.5ish trillion in four years. I see what you're saying and I gotta say: you're right! I gave you a like in support!

Conservatives chose their candidate well, just as Libs chose the right person for them.

He's got this! I have faith in him to fix this and so should you.

MAGA!

Congratulations to the Rasmussen Poll for their accurate numbers again in this election. But look at the abysmal numbers from CBS, CNN, and the Washington Post.

The thing about these polls is that they are "most accurate" when Trump is on the ballot. In midterms they have been bad.

Not that it matters much if you're looking at aggregates of polls, which had this pegged as roughly a 50/50 race and it winding up around 51/49 means they were collectively pretty accurate.

Even your Democrat friends voted for Trump.

All my friends are Democrats and none of them voted for Trump. I will say this: If I had a friend who voted for Trump, he would still be my friend.

Anybody calling this election a "landslide" doesn't know what the term means. If you want to call it a "clean sweep" or something like that, fine. What was the popular vote, 51%-47%? Both houses of Congress are fairly evenly split. That's not a landslide, no matter who says it is.

Elections have gotten so close in recent years that people have forgotten what an actual "landslide" is.

Interesting to look at the distribution of electors from back in 1984 and compare it to today. NY used to be a fair amount bigger in population than Texas.

None of your friends admitted they voted for Trump, but quite possibly some of them did.

The Tom Bradley effect is certainly at play here, particularly in California where openly supporting Trump is not well received in "polite circles".

That didn't seem possible so I looked it up. Florida and Texas both had over 6 million votes for Trump; he got 4.2 million in CA. That's just a proxy for the number of republicans, but a difference that large looks dispositive to me.

The absolute easiest change to SS would be to eliminate the cap on income that is subjected to SS while simultaneously capping the dollar amount one can receive from SS. I don't know one very wealthy person who is counting on SS for anything.

" I don't know one very wealthy person who is counting on SS for anything"

Which is why the Republicans will have no problem screwing it up. It would not hurt any constituents they actually care about.

And, do it right, and some of their favorite constituents get even wealthier. Win win.

Is there a legit policy reason any income is excluded from SS tax? Tax it all.

Because conservatives who pretend to be Christians don't want to give up any of their money to help others.

The Republican motto is: "We got ours, everyone else can fu@& off! MAGA!!!!!"

Right. It's all one sided. If only Dems were the only party. It'd be an ongoing party in this country. Half of us our idiots.

Didn't say anything of the sort. I was specifically addressing your question about SS and why some Republicans want to screw with it.

Yes - Democrats suck, too. In fact: American voters as a whole suck because they keep nominating sucky candidates for national office. It's always been a question of which side sucks less.

I really question the sincerity and integrity of liberal elites. Aside from the stock market being at all-time highs, the other three categories conveniently disregard increased crime, inflation and immigration over the entirety of Biden's term - not just the last few months. The electorate is not as stupid as liberals seem to think they are.

What a great idea. But let's expand the survey to include questions about...
- BLM issues like how many unarmed black people are killed each year by police
- the virulence of Covid, the effectiveness of the vaccines
- climate change, pick a metric any metric
