The American economy has been strong for a number of years now, except for the "blip" during the pandemic and the expected post-pandemic inflation.

Our biggest economic problem is that, in capitalism, there are always winners and losers. It should be the role of government to help smooth things out via regulation. I am a strong proponent of regulated capitalism.

Second biggest problem (which may become number one) is the ever-increasing debt.

Down the road, AI is going to be really shaking things up. We are probably going to need to be moving towards some sort of guaranteed basic income and shorter work weeks.

Look around at other countries: We are still the envy of the world.
