Boom! United States Postal Service suspends all package deliveries from China and Hong Kong. (Letters and flats not included.)

China recently said they will tariff our coal, natural gas and large engine cars.

President Trump's tariff increase also eliminated a duty-free exemption for low-value packages (the "de minimis" exemption allows goods valued at $800 or less to come into the US without paying duties or certain taxes).

While individually small, the new de minimus tariff will hit one billion packages a year.

His recent Executive Order for the "External Revenue Service" combines with the tariff approach and the state of emergency he declared.

"President Donald Trump on Tuesday said that he is in "no rush" to speak with Chinese leader Xi Jinping despite expectations they would meet the same day, as trade tensions increase after both countries imposed tariffs early in the morning."

Read between the lines: he wants to generate tariffs and clamp down on fentanyl and products used to make fentanyl.
