China recently said they will tariff our coal, natural gas and large engine cars.

President Trump's tariff increase also eliminated a duty-free exemption for low-value packages (the "de minimis" exemption allows goods valued at $800 or less to come into the US without paying duties or certain taxes).

While individually small, the new de minimus tariff will hit one billion packages a year.

His recent Executive Order for the "External Revenue Service" combines with the tariff approach and the state of emergency he declared.

"President Donald Trump on Tuesday said that he is in "no rush" to speak with Chinese leader Xi Jinping despite expectations they would meet the same day, as trade tensions increase after both countries imposed tariffs early in the morning."

Read between the lines: he wants to generate tariffs and clamp down on fentanyl and products used to make fentanyl.

MAGAs are not the brightest bulbs. The correct term for the athletes being banned from women's sports is "trans women," those born male that identify as women and transition. A trans man is someone born a woman who identities as a male.

I don't know a single case of a trans man trying to compete in sports against women.

It really helps if you are going to take a stance on an issue if you don't disclose to the world at the front end that you are a f@ucking quarter wit.

BTW, I agree that trans women should not compete against women in sports just from a fairness standpoint. Those trans women that deny that objective fact and insist on being able to compete are just being @$$holes.

Conversely, trans men competing against men in sports is no problemo but my guess is that is not really much of a Movement.

FYI there is a trans boy playing on my daughter's club sports team (12-13 yr olds). His talent level fits right in with the other players, plus he has female "parts", so nobody is bothered in the least by it.

I have a son and a daughter. I think it would only be an issue if an athlete's maleness enabled them to be dominant, playing against females. There might be other factors that come into play, too, such as roster spots, but I think that workarounds could be developed.

Mostly, I think this is much ado about nothing. People imagine it happening on a large scale and it's not, nor is it likely to.

Trump tells anybody whatever the heck he wants now, apparently. (thinking now of his comments on Gaza yesterday) Whatever conventions we used to have about what Presidents can and cannot say have been obliterated. I'm guessing it would take some Republicans to eventually stand up to him, but that will take their constituents applying more political pressure than Trump can apply.

If enough people in his own party had held firm after January 6th, he might never have made a comeback.

The next few years are going to be "interesting".
