Great. If China, Russia, and the USA come to an agreement, cut military spending 50%. And figure our a cheaper way to add surge capacity. Puerto Rico, Vietnam, American Samoa?

Maybe bc our Federal government is so massive, so bloated, so unproductive, and sections corrupt, they can't listen to everyone who got 4 stars. And is there an honest evaluation system that they can even rely upon with heavily Democratic departments and skulduggery?

An 'ex' worked for a prominent hi tech company years ago, and she survived several RIFs. A third RIF was enacted, and she survived but was transferred.

She later learned she was to be part of the RIF, but the CEO had a directive: go through everyone's personnel file, and if anyone has scored top marks three years in a row, find a spot for them. She was one of 30 that was saved.

I don't think you've been paying attention: most of these people don't live in DC.
Even the ones who work in the Washington DC area mostly live in Virginia or Maryland. I know one guy who commutes in from West Virginia. I think he's nuts, but he does have a great 19th century home.

Sounds like such a system wouldn't have saved you in the federal government purge this time. Got a promotion recently? You're probationary, therefore out.
