As opposed to the typical American who is invested in a mutual fund by some advisor that they pay a fee to, I know what I own and add to.

That's a nuance that you might find difficult to comprehend.
Especially when you looked at the U.S. stock market and told us it was GREEN just a few minutes ago.

I can certainly pay attention to nuances, such as what collapsing actually means.

VTI was at $287 yesterday at close. Opened at $286 today. Dropped to $282. Bounced to $288 (when I posted). Is now at $284. Today has been quite volatile.

Edited to add that the "collapse" ended at $286. A 0.5% drop.

But for right now, I'd say it's the Orange Man.

The Secret Service is gonna have their hands full from here on out.
Lots of disgruntled Federal workers that have (unfairly) lost their jobs.

At this rate, I'm not so sure that the GOP will be around come midterms.
Inflation is going to surge dramatically higher and that's not what Trump supporters voted for.

Some of these town halls have been taking place in bum**** Kansas, 2 or 3 hours' drive away from the nearest Democratic stronghold. It's not likely they were able to get that many of them to make that trek just to protest at some random Congressman's town hall.

But as someone who would prefer they lose the next elections, I encourage Republicans to keep their heads in the sand on this one. Doing the same thing the Biden team did in ignoring all the polls and hanging on too long. Good luck with that!

I don't think the Dems will actually do that, but if they do, I will be offended. Total loser move. It's something I would expect from the Lauren Bobert crowd.

The CPI comes out every month.
It was 3.0% for January.

And the Federal Reserve's favorite inflation indicator called the PCE was 2.5%

We can use those numbers as BENCHMARKS going forward for the Orange Buffoon.
