Sad that Biden made these pardons.
Even sadder that he felt the need to make them.
Saddest of all that maybe he did need to make them.

Absurdity. I read your post just fine and your post above confirms it. A dumpster fire is the same as going into the US Capital and vandalizing it? Carrying the Confederate Flag in the Rotunda? Crapping in Dems offices and Chambers? Oh yeah. So comparable. Daft.tequila4kapp said:

The post I responded to posited there should be similar J6 VANDALISM punishment. Obviously, since J6 stands alone we must look to other politically motivated crimes and their respective punishments. The comparison is completely valid for people who committed vandalism J6 but didn't harm anyone.
This guy had a 3rd offense with all 3 offenses being politically motivated.
1. Set fire to a dumpster adjacent to a courthouse during a political protest. (This is about as comparable to J6 as we are going to get). No jail time.
2. Threatened the mayor. No jail time.
3. Committed arson against a company to protest its policy supporting police. 10 days in jail.

Ok, who's out first 34? The Mexicans? Indians? Muslims? I'm telling ya, this Boxcars to the Border is a real deal 34. And now that Dear Leader is trying to wipe the 14th amendment out, its a whole new ballgame.
I'm with you.
I see bad things on the horizon.
And let's just get back to the issue of free and fair elections. Does anyone believe the election in 3 years is going to occur as we've become accustomed to? I don't. I believe we're entering a new era where a corrupt GOP is going to rig things for their puppets.
Neither Biden nor Trump is an admirable person or my preferred choice for president. The difference is Biden's policies are (in my opinion) horrific and he's literally mentally and physically unfit for the job. Trump's policies are much better in my view (thought not perfect) and objectively more mainstream according to all reliable polling.chazzed said:BearGoggles said:I know you are but what am I? So you celebrate when one president you can't stand is replaced by another president you can't stand? Weird.

Could it possibly be worse than the corrupt Dems rigging things for their puppets?

So yes, I celebrate the departure of a horrible, incapacitated and corrupt President and his replacement by someone who is not quite as bad.
He certainly will.concordtom said:BearGoggles said:Neither Biden nor Trump is an admirable person or my preferred choice for president. I hope you're right.
But I believe Trump is going to provide you with ample downward surprises.

Meanwhile, I'm watching TV right now and Trump is signing massive numbers of executive orders (many of questionable constitutionality) and CONCURRENTLY having a Q & A with the press.
He has literally answered more questions from the press in the last 10 minutes than Biden has in the past 2 years (probably longer). Everything from Tik Tok, to Israel/Gaza, to Ukraine to Iran,, to Russia, mixed in with running commentary on what he's signing. He's actually able to answer questions and have a dialogue. It is refreshing - even if much of what he says is annoying. At least he answers questions.

I was asking a serious question. Are you denying that Trump is going to end birthright citizenship? Blockade the border? End wokeness? Fire disloyal generals? Make a deal with Russia? This is all the stuff you and 49.9% of voters wanted. Why run from it now? Its an honest quesiton. What do you want to have happen first?tequila4kapp said:
I decline your offer. I am not here to have you or anyone else tell me how stupid you think my beliefs are. As I try to respect the rules about not attacking people individually, I will leave it at that.

Trump pardoned 237 people.
Biden 8064.
