I'm hoping her latest dog is named FEMA.

According to CNN, FEMA dealt with nearly 100 weather related emergencies and major disaster declarations in 2024 affecting 137 million people (41% of the US population). That's about one every 4 days. FEMA has issues but washing our hands of it and say "States, you take care of it and foot the bill now" is a recipe for widespread misery for the affected. I'm sure the Trump administration isn't planning to help states cover their increased costs.
