It would be a great theory if we didn't see the FCC Chair on TV saying that ABC needs to take Kimmel off the air and threatening penalties if they don't. That is pretty clearly the reason.

It's not just switching entertainment options, like coffee or tea.
The next thing is … who knows … but the Republicans are somehow going to win again in '26, and the Democrats will be scratching their heads. And then in '28 - who knows if he'll get to change the rules to a third term or simply assign a puppet. But you see, it's already over the normal way. Because he now controls the media. And people are too dumb to resist the power of advertising.



Economic boycotts like how MLK and Ghandi did is the path forward. Simple voting isn't going to work. They will cheat and rig. Probably already have.

Economic pain, marching in the streets, social disruption would appear to be on the horizon. Peaceful. Must remain peaceful.

Change doesn't come easily.

But I can pull together information on companies, individuals, or funds that are known to financially support Donald Trump or "MAGA"-aligned causes, so you have data to make informed decisions about who to avoid if you want to "vote with your wallet." Always good to verify the latest, because political giving changes over time.

Here are some names / entities that are documented to have strongly supported Trump or MAGA causes, plus notes & caveats. If you want, I can try to build a current vetted list specific to your region or sector (tech, food, retail, etc.)

These might be trickier, because the donation is by individuals, PACs, or owners, not necessarily the whole company's revenue deriving from politics. But for some people that's enough reason to avoid them.

Companies listed in Newsweek's List of Companies and Executives Who Have Donated to Donald Trump include ABC Supply, Uline, Pratt Industries, British American Tobacco, and others.

ExxonMobil is also frequently mentioned in donation lists.

Some food companies, consumer brands, etc., appear in lists of companies whose leadership or associated donors are heavily MAGA/Republican leaning. E.g., Flowers Foods, Hanes Brands, Hobby Lobby etc.



Things to be careful about (caveats)

Just because a company's owner or CEO or some executives donate to MAGA causes doesn't always mean the company, in its business practices, production, or internal culture, is centrally supporting MAGA. The choice to boycott may have trade-offs (higher prices, fewer options, sometimes difficulty in verifying how much of the revenue goes to those causes).

Some information is outdated. Donations are public record (FEC etc.) but many entities shift over time. Before deciding to boycott, checking recent filings is wise.

Some boycotts can have unintended consequences (e.g. harming employees rather than owners). People often choose to boycott at different levels: avoiding direct support (their sales, merchandise, stocks) rather than punishing every worker or local branch.

The signal of a boycott matters less if the boycott is smaller than the company's market or if people don't know it exists collective action helps.

Another friendly reminder that Kimmel did not actually say what the administration claims he said. You can argue that he implied it, and I might agree with you. But he didn't say it. So if he didn't actually lie then there is no good basis for FCC regulation (and that basis was already flimsy to begin with, since this is a monologue on a comedy show and not a news broadcast).
