Although Venezuelan oil is indeed sour with a higher sulfur content, U.S. refineries on the Gulf Coast (Chevron, Valero, etc.) are more than capable of processing it. They process hundreds of thousands of barrels of it per day.

In fact, volumes hit a six-year high last December reaching 300,000 bpd.

Can you not see the difference? Biden (and now Trump after they understand reality) supported UKRAINE who was on the receiving end of Russian aggression. We can have an academic debate (oh have we) about whether or not Ukraine misunderstood the strategic situation and should or should not have been more deferential to Russian interests given what they knew 3 years ago.
