Don't they usually throw away the top and bottom score for each contestant in order to weed out the outliers?

In any case, the score she gave to the French couple is similar to that of the Spanish and Canadian judges, and if you did take out the top and bottom scores from each scoreline, it looks like the French couple comes out ahead as well.




Personally I thought the American couple's act was kind of weirdly dark, they had an Addams family vibe that certainly was original but could rub some people the wrong way:

And if you decide you don't like the athlete representing our country for whatever reason (I'm not a particularly big Brady Thachuk fan for example), you can root for someone from a different country.
