Even more of the nation had the opportunity to wonder why they refused to fire Justin Wilcox. Great job calgorithm!

Valid but it did get us gameday which was one of the coolest experiences I've had as a Cal fan. Until the game ended that is.

Yeah I just don't think there's any negative to the Calgorithm stuff. No, it can't win games by itself but if it brings more attention to the program that's not bad. And as we have seen, it did not prevent us from getting rid of Wilcox.

Norway breaks the record for most Gold Medals won in a single Winter Olympics!

US men up 2-0 vs Slovakia, heading towards the final against Canada Sunday morning.

The teams have the exact same colors and are almost hard to tell apart, both having the same shade of blue pants and with the Slovak blue jerseys having white tops, never seen two sets of uniforms in a major competition being so similar.

Finland looked pretty good this morning, they pushed the Canadian all-stars hard, led 2-0. Canada looked like an all-star team, great individual skills but not always very smooth together, while the Finns were better than the sum of the parts.

The final on Sunday is going to be great. 5am PT, get your coffee ready!

Finland and Sweden are two of the stronger hockey nations traditionally I believe (after the three powerhouses US, Canada, and Russia), so that makes sense.

The Czechs have traditionally been the strongest side in Europe, especially back when they were united with Slovakia. USSR-Czechoslovakia was the biggest hockey rivalry in Europe. They were also dominant when they had Jagr, and Hasek "The Dominator", who was the best goalie in the world. They're a bit down now but they used to be above the scandies.

These Norwegians both made the podium in Ski Mountaineering….several German competitors got injured.
