You clearly don't pay enough attention. I've said multiple times, even within the last few days, that the handling of the Epstein files was botched.

" The sooner we recognize this hard truththat there's no military solution to the conflict with Iranthe better off the United States will be.

Sheer military force cannot reopen the Strait of Hormuz without escalating the war and sucking us into another endless, bloody quagmire that delivers zero benefit to our people.

We can't get rid of the emboldened government in Tehran, regardless of how many leaders we kill. If we try we will end up with a government or failed state, worse than what we have now.

The inevitable reality is this: we will have to cut a deal with Iran. We can be pragmatic and do it now on our own terms, or we can keep listening to the same neocons and the Israeli government who got us into this mess, only to cut the same deal after we've lost even more.

Recognizing that we have hit the point of diminishing returns and pulling out now is not weakness. It is strengthand it's the right thing to do for the American people."

I dunno, a little over a month ago, people said the US wouldn't be able to deal with all these advanced russian and chinese air defense. How did that go? People think Iran has infinity time are delulu when they won't be able to make payroll to pay off all these Iranian fighters. The Iranian people are also going to start getting highly agitated.

Do you really think the Govt cares about Iranian people getting "agitated"???

They don't.
They're clearly playing the long game.
Cal88 is spot on.

At the end of the day, we'll likely have another JCPOA deal like we had before, until 47 ripped it up.

Given the choice of being bombed on and killed by strangers or putting up with their repressive regime , I think the Iranians will make the obvious choice

The Chinese have already spotted Iran several billions to stabilize their economy. If we can spot Argentina $40 billion to shore up their currency, what makes you think that China, with its $1.2 Trillion annual trade surplus can't throw some spare change in their direction?

Militarily speaking, most of the US/Israeli air attacks have been carried with long-range air to ground and cruise missiles, whose inventory has diminished. Further attacks will have to be carried at closer range, deeper into Iranian territory, at greater risk.

The other difficult military aspect is that any ground war would have to have a logistical supply chain that would be based well within the range of Iranian short and medium range missiles, and they have lots of them.

There are no particularly good reasons for this war. (I don't consider "Trump wanted to do it!" to be a good reason.) Iran has the makings for some nuclear weapons? I don't really give a crap. Sure, we'd be better off as a species if no one had them, but as long as we do, other countries are going to want them.

Iran kind of sucks. We ought to let them sit there and suck. If they ever actually employ nuclear weapons, we can then squash them like a bug. However, historically, there's only one country that has ever employed nuclear weapons. Now, who might that be? Hmmm...

Hopefully, Iran will one day get their internal affairs in order. If not, that's their problem.

Col. Bone Spur is an arsonist. He litt Middle East on fire and now wants to walk away. Regime change failed, Iran still has missiles and enriched uranium, no coordination with our allies, liquid gas and oil resources are a disaster, the U.S. family is paying more for each, fertilizer and helium cost more raising prices around the world, and the Straits are closed. Please tell me again how this arsonist is playing three dimensional chess while the rest of us are playing checkers. Col. Bone Spur tore up the previous agreement with Iran because it was a bad deal and got NOTHING. Families and farmers are suffering while Col Bone Spur fought his little war. After spending some $250 billion dollars Rubio declares that Epic Fury is over and the world is left short of jet fuel and told to clean up the mess that Col. Bone Spur made.

"Marco Rubio argues that "Operation Epic Fury is concluded" as the objectives were achieved. In reality, Iran won this war. There was no regime chenge, no nuclear deal, no limits of ballistic missiles and drones, no decoupling of ties between Iran and its regional allies, and the Strait of Hormuz is now under Iran's control.

US bases in the region have been destroyed, the US alliance system has been weakened, and the petro-dollar will not recover.

This epic failure was not just another failed regime change war, this will severely weaken the position of the US in the Middle East.

All that was achieved was the murder of many Iranians and keeping the Epstein files out of the media."

An Israeli pundit and a Norwegian professor are "Iranian propagandiasts".

Sadly, you are probably right.

Graham might be the biggest WAR HAWK in recent memory.
Same with Ackman.

They keep saying it's gonna be done soon and its a "short" war.
They keep saying that it's a matter of weeks as opposed to many months, like Ackman.

Then he talks out of BOTH sides of his mouth:

"At least 16 U.S. military bases across the Gulf were heavily hit by Iranian missiles and drones, with servicemembers reportedly injured, killed, and lives lost across the region.

As this unfolds, the Trump administration is reportedly pressuring private satellite companies to restrict images of the damaged bases from circulating publicly.

The image of unquestioned American military dominance in the region has been badly shaken. If the U.S. cannot fully protect its own bases, what does that mean for allies who host American military infrastructure on their soil?

It raises a further question: how many Middle Eastern and allied nations will continue to allow U.S. bases in their countries if those installations themselves are vulnerable?

Ben Swann breaks down this major strategic miscalculation, how the war is straining the U.S. military, and if it is possibily strengthening Iran's position as a regional power."
