Before the recent changes, a substantial number of enrollees were completely subsidized and paid no premium. Not sure, but I think it was north of 25%. Haven't looked into the details, but I'm sure the number of zero premium choices has dropped substantially but some still exist.

The premium tax credits have decreased by so much that 14% of enrollees didn't make their first payment according to an actuarial firm, Wakley Consulting Group. That's roughly 1 in 10.

I was enrolled in the ACA for a number of years during my self-employment.
I was in a Silver Plan administered by Blue Shield / Blue Cross of CA.
The premiums underwent a massive increase over the years.

It started out cheap.
But got incredibly expensive over the years.

Data also showed "extensive buy downs," with enrollees moving to lower-tier or cheaper plans.
Enrollment in Bronze plans increased by 11% and enrollment in Silver plans fell by 17%.

That's indicative of the decrease in tax credits and increase in monthly premiums.

He said that if they enrolled, the monthly premium would be 75% of their rent.

Can't wait for TRUMP CARE.

The fact that Obama was able to get a healthcare plan through Congress at all is a MASSIVE ACHIEVEMENT.
