You're right. I don't think it's permanent. As long as Hispanics see how unhinged the GOP has become--because Republican politicians don't stand up to Trump--the midterns will go well. And the havoc that this GOP war will wreak on the economy will last quite a while.

Part of that, of course, is that "Hispanic" describes a number of different nationalities and cultural identities who don't all agree with each other.

As I said, George W. Bush got numbers similar to Trump's in 2024.
