Vetting anyone?
His response to having PTSD after 4 deployments in Afghanistan is to enlist as a "security consultant" for a Blackwater type firm. He then returned to Maine to become a full time oyster farmer. He says the business does not make much money, but he is able to supplement his income with the benefits he earns as a 100% disabled veteran.
He has gone through more political consultants than Donald Trump. There are a bunch of real whack a doodle comments about using violence and getting armed and organized which he now blames on PTSD. He said women who worry about getting assaulted should not get "so ucked-up they end up having sex with the wrong person." The guy loves guns. He sounds like the perfect Trump supporter, but now calls himself a communist, says all cops are *******s and believes all rural white Americans are stupid. He got formally repudiated by the head of the DNC, but he is endorsed by all the correct lefty groups. Seems like the mainstream Dems are losing their party also. The Democratic Governor of Maine just quit the race because she was so far behind. Collins haas been on life support for the last decade. This is America - he could win.
Studies have found That people vote conservative when they become afraid.
Therefore, the number one tactic of republicans is to inject Fear into political races:
Border, xenophobia
Crime
Drugs
Rape
Loss of tradition, religion
DEI is coming for you
LGBTQ is coming for you
China is coming for you
Arabs are coming for you
Mexicans
Did you know that? Fear equates to votes for conservatives.
This is why Obama's campaign was so special. He sent a different message! And it worked!

Kennedy was the same.
And this is why I think Newsom is doomed. He's a negative campaigner. An attack dog.
America is tired of Fear and Negativity.
Aren't we?
