I think this means that the interest on our debt went up again.
This is blowing up the CBO's forecasts.

At this rate, the interest on the debt will be $2.7 Trillion before the end of the decade.
That's MORE than Medicare and Social Security retirement benefits.

Boomers make up $97.4 TRILLION of the total $185.6 TRILLION in Household Wealth.

52.4%

This explains why aggregate spending has remained resilient in the face of higher costs of living that negatively impact the younger and lower income households more.



Even though Seniors earn less per household, there are a lot more of them.

Multiplying mean income by the number of households shows that the 65+ group collectively received $3.87 trillion in money income in 2025, more than any other age cohort (chart below).

…a little more context. Catturds economic predictions were posted and reposted on this board on the regular with great excitement and anticipation …as if they had actually materialized. This was before his (Trumps) series of self inflicted wounds that have now led to his historically low approval ratings. Seems long ago but it really isn't…pretty astonishing
