Consequences of shafting our closest economic partner, Canadian oil is headed to China, Japan, S Korea:The entire interior U.S. should be alarmed as Canada fast tracks a new crude oil pipeline from Alberta to Canada's West Coast that will push more of Canada's oil away from U.S. refineries that rely on it, and could negatively impact U.S. refineries. pic.twitter.com/CErJl5dtJk

Canada is the 4th largest oil producer in the world, with a current output of 5M barrels per day, vs. 1.5mbpd for Venezuela.
Once we get adult leadership in the White House, I suspect having an oil pipeline into British Columbia will lower prices and improve oil supplies into the Pacific Northwest and perhaps California. Works for me.
Did you read what Cal88 just posted? How would this benefit the US if it's not going to the US?
I'm looking past the next year or two. Most likely, 5-10 years from now, we'll mend our fences with Canada. Tariffs will be consigned to the trash heap of history and suddenly a trading partner just across the border from Vancouver will look more desirable than transporting oil by ship to other parts of the world.
Canada won't be able to make it 5-10 years without the pipelines running through the US.
and we would have accomplished exactly what? Bringing our fierce enemy to its knees? What you are suggesting is actually the more pipe dreamy.
I'm not suggesting anything. It's a fact that the pipelines Canada uses run through the US.
and that we would bring them to there knees in 10-15 years by shutting down access. Forgot that bit
Their* but those are your words not mine. It won't even get to that point.
