The contention is simply that it was hard at that time to find evidence that the dude was on the football team. And it was. I make no other judgements. Please don't twist things because his updated wiki page links to what used to be an obscure article. The contention is simply that it was hard at that time to find evidence that the dude was on the football team. And it was. I make no other judgements. Please don't twist things because his updated wiki page links to what used to be an obscure article. And, yes, dude should have looked a lot harder before posting the tweet or not posted it at all because ultimately this makes him look bad. That still doesn't make this easy to find info at the time.

El Sayed himself published photos of his HS football days months ago on his social media, it wasn't hard to find. And you're assuming that the info on Wiki about his HS activities was recently added, which isn't true, because a lot of his Wiki bio was sourced from that Globe and Mail 2017 article. That info was available on El Sayed's Wiki page 3 weeks ago when Dean tried to swift boat El Sayed.

I agree that the original tweet does reek of xenophobia. However, that doesn't make his football experience suddenly easy to find (at that time).

It didn't take me much work to find proof of Sayed's HS football background, because that info was already available a month ago on his Wiki page, which linked the Globe and Mail article establishing that he was the captain of his HS football team.

That article and the info about Sayed having been a HS FB captain was already posted on his Wiki page when you allegedly searched for this.

The person tweeting the response is clearly a liar. It is very difficult to find pictures of El Sayed playing football, other than the now existing story because of this tweet. I spent five minutes trying and couldn't organically find such photo.

The Globe and Mail is Canada's premier national newspaper, and that article was already available on Sayed's Wiki page on August 10 when the subject came up, that's how I found it, and was able to read it. Here's the proof from my own browser history :



Even if you hadn't read the article, its content was sourced, verified and published on Sayed's wiki page, establishing the fact that he was the captain of his HS FB team.
