Tarik Skubal
Why?
Because we can.
How?
We have money AND prospects.
BREAKING: The Dodgers are acquiring Tarik Skubal in a trade with the Tigers, per @JeffPassan.

Hard to get mad at the Dodgers for making a good trade. Every other team had the chance to beat the offer.
Because the Dodgers went bankrupt, MLB agreed to tax their TV money as if they were still a broke.

That lets the Dodgers keep about $66 million more every year than they otherwise would.
This exception runs through 2039, according to a league source.https://t.co/iRSaxeDoyT pic.twitter.com/80nDyCOA0L

Had 2 tonight against the Dodgers.

Lead series 2 - 1
Meanwhile, Joshua Baez for the Cardinals, a 2nd round pick hits 3 HR's in his MLB debut.
Never been done before.

Just for fun, baseball playoff outcomes from this point based on regular season stats for:

The Brewers are a good team. They are the opposite of the giants as they actually win games and actually have a low payroll. They actually have a payroll under 200 million. The Brewers would be a good team for bay area folks to bandwagon onto if the giants get relegated to the minor leagues. The Dodgers, however, still have a chance here as next two games are at home. Rumor is that ailing Ohtani may be replaced in the lineup with De Paula, the #4 prospect in all of baseball.

That's a cool story.
'm not a bandwagon guy.
Have always been a Brewer's fan given my position in EXAS since 2009 and multiple meetings in Madison with management.

I have been to Milwaukee, along with several other cities that have baseball teams. What an adorable excuse to abandon your local crappy team for an actual good one! Kudos.

Abandon?
You continue to make a lot of bizarre assumptions that are not based in fact.
But I've noticed that you do that an awful lot here.
For example, I was a Detroit Tiger fan growing up here in the East Bay in the late 60's.
I was never an A's fan even with all of the Championships they won. Thus, I never "abandoned" them.
You sound upset that the Dodgers are losing.
I would suggest not taking "that" out on anonymous posters on a message board.

Yes, I am extremely upset that the back to back World Series Champion Dodgers, winners in 2024 and 2025, are down 2-0 to a good team in the NLCS while the dumpster fire giants trade their only decent players for more flaming garbage on their way to further ineptitude. Have you ever been to L.A.? Maybe use that as an excuse to be a Dodgers fan?
