I can remember when a Dodger Fan tried bullying me into donating $100,000 for Cal Football NIL.
Never mind an unproven rookie first year staff that had never been an OC, DC, ST, or HC.

But I was constantly bullied here into donating $100,000.
Talk about nagging.

As a Dodger fan, I can't complain. Life has been good. The team has not been the same since Ohtani got injured this year and the team is aging. 2027 will need more from Kyle Tucker and Edwin Diaz and we will need to get Josue de Paula into the lineup (I'm thinking a platoon with Teoscar Hernandez but I'm sure they'll come up with something else). Still the favorites to win the NL West for the 14th time in 15 years and who knows from there.

The Dodgers don't lose anybody to free agency except the Skubal rental and don't have a big need they need to address in free agency other than the annual bullpen tuneup. In fact, the Dodgers could trade away somebody like Teoscar Hernandez for prospects. This team is still loaded. 2028 free agency will be a different story with free agent Freddie Freeman and club options on Max Muncy, Tyler Glasnow, and Teoscar Hernandez (plus Kyle Tucker has an opt-out but he'd have to have a monster year to want to use it).

I like the idea of a Brewers / Rays World Series. Neither team has ever won and I like the way both teams play ball.

Giants payroll is still roughly 200 million and was $225 million in 2025. Dodgers spend 3.25 million per win. Giants still spend 3 million per win because they don't win very much. Giants have historically had a high payroll and their ignorant fans have historically hypocritically pointed fingers at anybody who spends more than they do. Giants spend a ton of money for a crappy team.

The Dodgers being able to spend so much more than any other team is a general problem for the league.

It's not the reason the Giants don't win. Our front office has sucked, and the ownership doesn't actually care about winning.
