Over 200,000 Puerto Ricans have left the island since the Hurricanes in 2017 and the difference in the 2016 election was 70,000 votes. An estimated 250,000 to 700,000 will leave the island in the next 4 years. That is a lot of votes to overcome in states like FL, PA, NY, NJ, and MA. Of extreme interest is FL and PA which went Republican. The memory of Katrina still lingers in those communities affected and will linger with the people who have fled the territory of Puerto Rico.
