But did you make the curtain call for Mac's Old House?

We're losing too many classics. I never made it to Guisti's in the Delta. Gingerbread House (Oakland), Walnut Creek Yacht Club, Bear's Lair, Cliffhouse, Rick and Anns... I'm sounding like an old timer.

Would a food thread interest any folks here?

So sad that Mac's closed yesterday in Antioch.
I didn't make it for the curtain call.

Mac's Old House

Believe it or not, my grandparents used to take me to the Riverview Lodge in Antioch in the 60's.
It's now Monica's, but the prices are terribly obscene and nowhere realistic.

I never made it to Giusti's either.
But have been at Foster's Big Horn in Rio Vista as well as the bar at the Yacht Harbor restaurant there called The Point.

Lot's of cool places along Route 160 heading North once you get across the Antioch Bridge.

It's been so packed, maybe 10-15 regular folks could pitch in to buy it. The problem is if one person buys it, the prices will jump and the successful formula is broken.

Al's Place / Al the W-p still going strong.

New classic: Johnny Wokker in Stockton, local boy makes good. Food truck, to brick and mortar restaurant, to now a 2nd location downtown. Great guy. Big local support and in the southeast Asian community.

The Hangout in Pleasant Hill - Thai influence on breakfast and brunch. Their fried chicken (3 pieces) and waffle is amazing. Best breakfast in central CoCo County?

Israel was running out of Patriot missiles, Iran had yet to send in any cruise missiles, and the Bunker Busters... Whinetarians unhappy?

I like the Sunset Bistro in WC too.
