HUD housing is so wonderful, as is Section 8.
The US population is 340 million. 9 million people benefit from HUD housing, including section 8. 7 million of those 9 Million get housing subsidies, which is obviously way different from what Mamdahni is discussing. About 1/2 of the remaining 2 million that get free housing live in public housing, which are quite often **** hole apartment complex type facilities. EG, see south side of Chicago. You would never want to live in them. That leaves @1 million people getting potentially decent free housing. 1 million out of 340 million. Good luck scaling that. Even better luck scaling that when you eliminate free market development of housing. It's stupid socialist / capitalist nonsense that has been proven wrong over and over and over again.
