Mississippi public education tops California, a solid success story.

"Mississippi improved its education system known as the "Mississippi Miracle"by implementing the 2013 Literacy-Based Promotion Act, which focused on early literacy (K-3), training teachers in the "science of reading," providing literacy coaches, and increasing funding. This, combined with high standards and persistent policy implementation, raised Mississippi from last in national education rankings to 16th overall by 2025."

Funds were devoted to hiring highly trained reading coaches to support students, and special literacy-based professional development for all teachers. Phonics embraced and the near rejection of whole language theory. Early detection of literacy problems with three-times-a-year testing.

"Third-grade gate" theshold - students who repeatedly earn less than a passing grade on the test are retained. African and Latino students seeing marked improvement in lower grades. Upper grades have also improved, but not as dramatically.

Similiar results in several other southern states.

Terrific! Next thing will be Mississippi kids will have learned to read and write cursive, while way too many of America's adults can't even do that now.

Canada has plenty of cards, lots of oil, potash (fertilizers). aluminum, nickel, gold, hydro power, lumber and a decent market that Chinese EV and battery makers are now competing to cover with local plants. China, Japan, S Korea, India, Germany are lining up in Ottawa to get a shot at these resources.

Trump abusing our neighbors is also going to result in Canada scrapping their order of 88 F-35s in favor of Saab Gripens.

The Trumpsters are going to get absolutely thrashed in November, especially in the Midwest and Rust Belt.

At least the non-MAGAtards GOPers had a chance to win vs the Dems, whereas Trumptards like Vivek are going to get wiped out.

The fact that you don't see this is very indicative of the cult-like nature of MAGA, you'd rather suppress internal dissent than win, exactly like the Democrats did pushing Hilary and Biden.
