Too bad the French didn't fight half that hard against the Nazis.

Total deaths WW2
France (pop. 40M) : 600,000
USA (pop.130M): 420,000

Do you know why France awarded the Legion of Honour posthumously to the pilots of Air France Flight 4590?

About as many as those that came here and sacrificed their lives to free the U.S. from the Brits.

If it wasn't for France, you would be still speaking English today!

So maybe the conclusion is that we should all help free people in just causes.

That's why this time we are in a massive coalition.

Bush was in Iraq for personal reasons, for which he goes down in history poorly.
Say, you're into Party labels... wasn't he a REPUBLICAN?

There's reason to believe we're in Ukraine for similar reasons. Victoria Nuland was 100% part of the Maidan. We have her phone calls talking about which option we want to lead ukraine.

It was a bipartisan effort, with Biden leading the effort on the Dem side:

Back then you did have some good Democrats like Tom Daschle and Pat Leahy who were opposed to the war. These types of solid political figures have since been purged out, the Dem party is now almost completely aligned with the MIC.

Today the main voices in oppostion to Endless War have come from the GOP.

Good on them to bring his government down. At least Bennett tried to mediate a settlement to the war in Ukraine.

We had troops on the ground in Iraq, not in Ukraine. This attempt to equate the two is stupid.

The situation in Ukraine is similar to early stage Vietnam, where we had lots of "advisers" on the ground, and the South Vietnam Army as a proxy military force entirely equipped and trained by the US.

The "pro Russian autocrats" who handily won their country's 2020 elections?

Same playbook as in Ukraine, but this is not Georgia's first rodeo with the color revolutions, so I doubt it will work this time around.

There have been hundreds of mass shootings in the last few decades. Why don't you examine more than 3 of the shooters before you start making mealy mouthed insinuations? Just because Catturd told you to think that, it doesn't make it meaningful.

I read a news blip about Chris Christie on Trump and running for President.
…. he says someone needs to stick it trump the way he stuck it to Marco Rubio.

Republican politics has become a game of insults and Mano a Mano showdowns. Who can be the slickest bully. Has nothing to do with policy and the governed citizens.

Maybe they should make it a game show like American Idol. See who can get cut each week and who will survive to the next round.

I'm now watching Trump on Hannity from last night.
They gave him the full hour, spliced with commercials.
I want to see how Trump tries to spin his bull**** and if Hannity makes the slightest attempt to push back with fact checks or tough questions.

I'm sure they've rehearsed everything well enough that there are no stumbles.

….
1. Trump just said he never had an affair with stormy. That's a lie, and Hannity shifted topic. Ha!

2. They are just bouncing around from topic to topic with little focus. Trump is just riffing. Nothing is being said. I'm sure they'll be quotes, but this is jumble junk. Typical of Trump.

The body cam video is compelling. Those cops didn't worry about dying in a hail of AR-15 gunfire.

If we really want to analyze their identity, they're pretty much all ammosexuals.

Obviously, there is very little interest in having an honest discussion about gun violence in this country. Just like with climate change and other problems which conservatives have been radicalized to support, they engage only to distract and to filibuster any attempts to make progress.

Here's an example.

Two data points that are hidden in this graph, and completely contradict this guy's thesis:

-Switzerland is close to the same level as the US in gun ownership, yet it is at the very bottom of the homicide rates.

-Brazil has a lot higher homicide rate vs the US, yet it has a much, much lower gun ownership rate...

Here is the bedroom of the Nashville trans mass shooter:

I guess the NATO flag is very "ammosexual"!

One aspect in these mass shootings that isn't nearly covered as much and which I would be interested in, is the medecine cabinet of these people, and their mental health history.

Protests gaining momentum in France, with protestors now blocking highways and railways. Macron is betting on his law and order upper middle class voters would rally for him, but so far public support for protests remains strong. Macron`s future hangs in the balance.

We have a whole thread on climate change. I just learned last night that the state of California doesn't define hydropower as green? Have to confirm. If so, insane.

The whole 'trans' hysteria seems to have skyrocketed the past 5 years. Tik Tok / social media seems to play a huge role. Journalist Andy Ng I believe has pointed out the alleged large percentage of violent 'non binary' Antifa members.

Macron should back down. Like Putin's allies did in Israel and Georgia (at least temporarily). Cal88 would never show video of those street protests though.
