Exactly. Trump is flying high right now on the back of his 4 criminal felony indictments which serve to endear him to "law and order" Republicans.
But we keep hearing from people like OdontoBear66 that if we just wait a little bit longer <something> is coming for Biden. If Biden is lucky, he will be indicted 4 or more times for serious crimes to help boost his popularity with Republicans to cancel out the boost that Trump got.
I would say any polls that fail to take into account the benefits that candidates receive from their criminal actions is premature. We will know more in a few months (maybe after infrastructure week or after the GOP unveils their big beautiful healthcare plan that is going to fix every problem in our healthcare system) and then the candidates will be on equal footing.
In all seriousness, I think we all know that the candidates will be Trump and Biden and that Biden will win again because Trump is only getting crazier and Biden's campaign team knows how to beat Trump. Sadly, they don't know how to prevent an insurrection but that's a January 6, 2025 problem.
