I would be a good bit surprised if anyone actually believed his claims he wouldn't pardon Hunter. It seemed patently absurd from the get go. I could kinda be okay with it if it was done in the same way Ford pardoned Nixon and all the folks who went to Canada instead of Vietnam.

Hunter Biden clearly got a job at Burisma because the company thought they could leverage his family connections for influence. That seems pretty likely to be true. That's pretty scummy/unethical but sadly not uncommon either. The question of whether or not any of this actually affected Joe Biden's decisions (either as Prez or VP) has been much harder to prove, and I don't think anyone has actually proven it. A private citizen taking an undeserved salary at a foreign company is ultimately not illegal.
