LA City Council just passed a $30 an hour minimum wage for hotel and airport workers. Hotels are now saying they will convert to homeless shelters lol. Do people not realize that these wages get passed on to the consumers? It's going to damage their tourism industry and people are just going to avoid flying into LA, they'll go to some other county.

Los Angeles City council voted to pass a $30 minimum wage for hotel and airport workers, along with an additional healthcare benefit starting at $8.35 per hour for employees of businesses that do not provide health insurance.
Businesses say the large spike in wages will lead to closures, scaling back employees, and hotels backing out of agreements put in place for the 2028 Olympics and could threaten the city budget.
"Payroll for hourly employees alone will increase by more than 70% from current costs by the time the $30/hour wage is achieved in 2028," wrote the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce in opposition. "[Transient Occupancy Tax] revenue is the city's largest source of unrestricted General Fund revenue. This revenue is already in decline."
"The proposed ordinance will only further reduce revenue at a time when the city is facing a half-billion-dollar deficit," continued the Chamber of Commerce.

Yeah tough to have wind energy when the wind isn't blowing. Also these windmills are causing issues on their own, I don't think they are a realistic large scale solution. I'd like to have a great energy solution to coal, LNG is pretty darn good, clean and sustainable solution. I wish people would embrace it. Nuclear is okay but we still have the issue of storing the spent fuel rods that don't lose their radiation for like 50,000 years, as well as Nuclear is a security risk in case of war or terrorism. This is why we need more pipelines in the US, to transfer LNG coast to coast making it much cheaper.

I can't think of a game app less interesting than a slot machine. Maybe if you actually won money, but I wouldn't trust the app to be honest. It would be so easy to rig in any update. What strikes me funny is that a number of the slot machine apps are pitching "Please come back! We'll give you trillions of coins and a guarantee of a win on the first 10 spins!" If so many people have quit that you need a sales pitch like that, it tells me they have a crappy game.
