Note I said posts. Plural. I wasn't commenting on this one specifically. My reaction to that particular post was a shoulder shrug. Who cares?
Indeed, who would care about that and why?

So you're insinuating that women and non-white people can't be good mayors?

I think it is worse than that. I think the implication is that they don't belong there.
That's the only conclusion I can draw from someone posting that picture without further comment. Movielover seems to think that non-white people shouldn't be in that country or in charge of things.

But perhaps he can explain his meaning otherwise.

Said poster posts that genre of "breaking news", in one form or another, on a regular basis.

A less than 2% annual death rate among a group that's mostly senior citizens doesn't sound unlikely. It's probably fairly low actually.

A three percent annual death rate is absolutely massive. I am not surprised that you reflexively think it is normal.

Their average age at death is 74, which is a bit low, but there would have to be some more research into the baseline and past death patterns as that sample is still a bit small.

How many Congressmen total from both parties died in the entire 2010s? How does that death rate compare to the number of Democratic Congressmen that died over the past year?

I wasn't differentiating between parties, so I was looking at 6 out of 435 which is an annual death rate of 1.38%. That's about on target for people over 65. That you were making some odd point about Democrats escaped me despite you labeling them (D). What about the 5 Republicans that died in 18 months in 2021-2022? Most odd, don't you think?

The names on your list were over 70, except one that was 65. One was 87. I'm not terribly surprised nor do I think a fairly small sample size like this is statistically significant. You can flip a coin and get heads 6 times in a row. You can also get 6 Democrats death in a row. Not that a coin flip is directly relatable to congressional deaths though.

There was both a pandemic and an experimental vaccine in 2021-22, so that period hardly proves your point. You further stated that the figure (6 out of 212) seemed low, which it is clearly not. Finally, how do you think the near 3% number compares to the death rate of all Congressmen in the 2010s? Also, thank you for kind of admitting you were wrong by now realizing that the number is 6 out of 212, and you were completely mistaken before.

Had you stuck to another one of your narratives -- a lot of Dems in politics are effing old -- you might have been on to something. But you still get a "C" for consistency!

Good call to compare Congressman to their peers, as this group is very selective - highly educated, probably few smokers, few morbidly obese, and most receive the best medical care available (not counting prior POTUS).

There is definitely a big problem with Democratic politicians holding on to power for too long. (Actually it's not just the Dems -- see the animated corpse of Mitch McConnell still shuffling around -- but they have a bigger issue with this at the moment.)

If that's the claim, then I agree. If the claim is that the vaccines cause cancer or something? I don't think there's good evidence for that.

There are multiple claims, studies, statistics, and insurance actuarial data suggesting various negative medical issues including the so-called "turbo cancers" and myocardial issues.

Two Israeli embassy staff shot dead outside Jewish museum in Washington DC

Two staff members from the Israeli embassy were shot dead outside a Jewish museum in Washington DC on Wednesday night by a gunman who shouted "free Palestine" during his arrest.

Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim were a couple, who the embassy said were in the "prime of their lives". Mr Lischinsky was reportedly about to propose to Miss Milgrim.

The suspect, Elias Rodriguez, 30, is now in custody and the FBI is investigating whether the attack was linked to terrorism or a hate crime.

Our joke of a Supreme Court continues it's activist rampage, making up the law on the fly. Independent Agencies protecting workers, like the National Labor Relations Board and Merit Protections System Board -Trump can fire that crew. But the Federal Reserve Board -Trump can't fire them, presumably because that would mess with the Justices investments. What a farce of a court.

Are you implying that this person is part of a protected class based on their appearance, that protected class is why they got the job, that said protected class is somehow incapable of performing CEMA duties and that people died because of that?

Dilbert creator Scott Adams on Monday announced he has an aggressive form of prostate cancer that has spread to his bones, one day after Joe Biden's announcement.
Although I disagreed with just about everything Scott Adams believes in, I'm saddened to hear about this. I did enjoy Dilbert for years. It sounds like he's in great pain and resigned to his fate.

I wouldn't ordinarily say more than this, but I'll add a quote from Adams for movielover's consideration:

"Adams said he wasn't going to delve into the treatments he had undergone, but mentioned that he did try using anti-parasitic medications including ivermectin and fenbendazole, to no effect."

Trump called Scott Adams twice, the first time, Adams let it go to voicemail.

I think you are over your skis on this one.

There is no information provided about her qualifications. You are making an assumption - likely based on her appearance - that she got it because of a protected class. Maybe, maybe not. Who knows?

Re her competency, she explains in the video they are an understaffed office and are often in the field providing services. That means this wasn't the 1st time they were out of the office, which means her superiors signed off on this allocation of staff. That points toward something more than her being incompetent.
