Former City of San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo got busted for the same thing.
Using his personal Gmail account to circumvent PRA requests.

And this was 5 years AFTER the CA Supreme Court held that city officials can't use personal email accounts to evade government transparency laws.

I'm not up to speed on Oakland politics. I don't consider myself pro Progressive and anti Moderate. I more consider myself pro Fighting Democrats and anti meek Democrats. As an example, in 2008 I supported Hillary Clinton over Barack Obama because I didn't like all of Obama's talk about reaching across the aisle. I didn't think that was realistic and I think I was proven correct. Still supported his Presidency though. But at this point, I am also done with Democrats that don't openly support Medicare for All or something similar. I'm evolving as everyone else is as well.
