team: oregon ducks

shockster 2015/2016 pac 12 prediction: 4th place

coach: dana "the criminal" altman

what you need to know about altman: during labor day weekend of 2010 tony woods beat the crap out of his girlfriend in front of their 8 month old child...woods was arrested and charged with three counts of assault for kicking and pushing courney lorel barbout who suffered a fracture of her spine in the attack

against the 6'11" 250 lbs woods, courney had no chance to protect herself

wake forest did the right thing and suspended woods

so oregon's sleazeball head coach dana altman recruited woods to shore up the ducks interior defense

dana altman & steve alford are enablers of sexual predators that commit crimes of violence against women if it means they might win a few more games

who else has altman recruited to eugene?

*elgin cook, declared ineligible during high in milwaukee for having a gpa under 2.0 & also left school for florida due to his involvement with gang activity
http://themilwaukeedrum.com/2011/02/13/the-tragedy-of-elgin-cook-other-mps-black-student-athletes/

*jordan bell from long beach poly was academically ineligible out of high school

*christiano felicio from brazil was declared ineligible by the ncaa after attending a roseville "prep school" handpicked by altman that is facing allegations of academic fraud & child abuse
http://fox40.com/2013/01/10/roseville-prep-academy-coach-arrested-for-physical-abuse/

*jaquan lyle, 2.5 gpa in high school & suspended for fighting in high school was ineligible to enroll at oregon

*ray kosongo was denied admission by the university's special admission board which was created by concerned faculty re: altman's disinterest in recruiting high character student athletes

*ben carter, suspended along with dominic artis for selling team issued shoes/gear, transfered to unlv

*a.j. lapray transferred to pepperdine

*brandon austin, 2.6 gpa in philly, was suspended from the providence basketball team after being charged with a sexual assault of a female student...he immediately was recruited & transferred to oregon...when confronted by the media, altman claimed he checked austin's background but did not know he raped a girl while at providence...charged in the rape of an oregon female student...dismissed

*damyean dotson, suspended during the season for trying to use a fake id at a bar...charged in the rape of an oregon female student...dismissed

*dominic artis, named in the rape of an oregon female student...dismissed with a court restraining order does not allow him to set foot on the university of oregon campus

*elgin cook & jalil abdul bassit were arrested by the eugene police department for shoplifting at market across the street from matthew knight arena on sept 12th of last season...dana altman has stated "we expect our student athletes to conduct themselves as solid members of this community and team...both were "internally disciplined" (which means nothing as usual)"
http://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/index.ssf/2014/10/two_oregon_ducks_basketball_pl.html

*dana altman knews that elgin cook had been cited for assault & battery, disorderly conduct and vandalism four years ago in wisconsin before he recruited him to oregon...criminal dana altman has stated "i was aware of elgin's background prior to his arrival at the university of oregon...the two years before he arrived here, elgin did very well at prep school and junior college, especially in the classroom...we would not have recruited elgin if we didn't believe he was capable of receiving a college education that he would appreciate and value"
http://www.oregonlive.com/ducks/index.ssf/2014/10/dana_altman_was_aware_of_elgin.html

*jordan bell cited for harassing an oregon parking officer attempting to place a ticket on his car...altman suspended bell for 1 game, a home game vs pac 12 cellar opponent washington state

*dana altman has been named in the lawsuit against the university of oregon filed by the female student victim of the brutal player sexual assault for his role in allegedly lying to authorities that he did not know that brandon austin was dismissed by providence for raping a female student

*when mike montgomery had his cancer scare dana altman & his henchman tony stubblefield negatively recruited against the bears basketball program using this medical situation as a reason not to attend cal

make no mistake about, altman & stubblefield are pieces of worthless ****, they are dancing with the devil

what up in eugene?: oregon is losing pac 12 mvp joseph young (20.7 ppg, 4.4 rpg & 3.8 apg) & jalil abdul-bassit (8.2 ppg)...the ducks are returning elgin cook (13.2 ppg & 5.2 rpg), canadian dillon brooks (13.0 ppg & 5.2 rpg), dwayne benjamin (8.4 ppg & 5.8 rpg) & bouncy jordan bell (5.1 ppg & 6.1 rpg)...newcomers include villanova transfer dylan ennis & gunner tyler dorsey (and his dad)

what this means for the bears: cal will need to match up with oregon's defensive/rebounding intensity, that did not happen last season...if the bears can limit the ducks fast break attacks, then oregon will struggle in their half court offense as they likely not be a strong 3 point shooting team this season

oregon basketball is a corporate sponsored sports program that is loosely affiliated with a mediocre university that lacks academic integrity that is coached by a criminal

yeah, it's business as usual in eugene

team: utah utes

shockster 2015/2016 pac prediction: 3rd place

coach: larry "special k" krystkowiak

what you need to know about krystkowiak: when coach krystkowiak arrived in freezing azz salt lake city the utes were 6-25 in 2011...special k turned around the program by running off all the guys who didn't wanna go to class every day...the 2013 21-11 utah team had 5 guys on the pac 12 all academic team, the most for any team in the pac 12

special k gets it, men take care of their business...discipline starts in the classroom and the s&c program creating a solid foundation for success on the basketball court...sure, utah is an academically mediocre school (kinda more challenging than santa monica community college) but it's very clear that krystkowiak expects his student athletes to work towards earning a diploma...for guys like jayce johnson who want a homogenous student population in a non diverse environment at an academically mediocre school, utah is a logical choice based upon those values

what up in salt lake city?: replacing team leader delon wright (14.5 ppg, 5.1 apg & 4.9 rpg with an insane 50.9 fg% isn't gonna happen...watching the utes from the 1st row behind the cal bench at the huntsman center it was very clear that he was the catalyst/emotional leader for his team, wright facilitated the offensive run & he set the tone for the utes suffocating d intensity

but almost everyone else returns including brandon taylor (10.6 ppg & 3.6 apg), jordan loveridge (10.0 ppg & 3.9 apg) & the best returning big in the pac 12 austrian & former silent commit jakob poeltl (9.1 ppg & 6.8 rpg) with a deep bench & a talented incoming freshmen class

what this means for the bears: there are 4 pac 12 teams that could be ranked in the top 20 nationally next season, the road trip to salt lake city & boulder is gonna be very challenging for the bears

team: california golden bears

shockster 2015/2016 pac 12 prediction: 2nd place (but also the unrealized potential to win a national championship per chunky donut eating expert sean miller)

coach: cuonzo "love train" martin

what you need to know about martin:

what up in berkeley?: the bears starting 5 will be able to potentially successfully compete with any starting line up in the nation with future nba lottery picks in diamonds jaylen brown & ivan rabb along with early pac 12 mvp candidate tyrone wallace (17.1 ppg despite an abysmal .318 3 point & .606 free throw shooting along with a team high 7.1 rpg & 4 apg), jordan "chunk" mathews (13.6 ppg with an fuego .443 3 point shooting) & jabari "let if fly" bird (10.5 ppg & a physically/mentally soft 3.3 rpg)

stephen domingo, noted by coach martin as often the best defender in practices with a relentless work ethic and an alan crabbe style perimeter shooting stroke & sammy "the gym rat" singer building off late last season's shooting confidence are projected to be keys guys off the bench along with the winner of the kameron rooks/kingsley okoroh battle of the 7'1" titans

roger moute a bidias & roman davis (potential blueshirt candidate) will serve as defensive specialists & it's expected brandon "downtown" chauca is gonna provide long range sniping with the bears much improved offensive spacing this season

and yeah, gotta love all of them walk ons: taylor's favorite brenden "in san francisco" glapion, hard working nick "at nite" hamilton & cole "surfer dude" welle & sharpshooter nick kerr...it's a shame coach martin only thinks of them as the saddest show on earth

what this means for the bears: the question of the century with respects to the cal basketball program on the eve of potentially the most epic season of our lifetimes is whether or not these clowns have got the hearts to consistently play tough defense, aggressively fight for rebounds & compete for loose balls...i watched virtually ever second of cal basketball in person last season (which is different than being a passive bears tv fan only watching the action as dictated to you by the tv cameras) & trust me, these question marks are both deeply profound & seriously troubling with regards to whether or not this team will ever achieve their true potential for greatness

t-wall was outplayed by the nba undrafted point guards at both arizona & stanford which contributed to the bears 5 losses vs the wildcats & cardinals...his sorry azz shooting was embarzzing, i would bet on both coach webster & jay john in a shooting competition with t-wall, a guy with nba 1st round aspirations

jabari bird did not dive for loose balls often pulling up short & was physically outmuscled by arizona's elite wings in the bears 3 losses...he did not battle for rebounds, letting down his teammates as kravish & wallace did all the dirty work on the boards in jb's absence

jordan mathews often lost track of his guy in defensive assignments & did not bring a positive mental focus to each game...dude has got a reggie miller shooting stroke with a candy azz soft kayne consistency with respects to the rest of his game

the staff wanted to bring in tyson jolly & davon dillard this season to relentlessly push bird & mathews, that's not gonna happen now...are birds & mathews gonna push themselves?

jaylen brown & ivan rabb haven't done **** in college, are they a bunch of overrated & worthless fake diamonds that you can buy at the rockridge swap market on sunday mornings for 50 cent?...i hate fake models

what about them coaches, is coach martin ever gonna design/scheme masterful in bound plays like coach montgomery that result in easy buckets?...is coach webster gonna get those soft guards/wings to play with greater intensity like they grew up on food stamps in the projects & had to fight for everything?...is wyking gonna get the bigs right?...is huf gonna build his reputation beyond that of a charismatic recruiter with actual basketball skills development of his guys?...is nicodemus gonna continue to let guys at the basketball house eat popcorn & **** like that?

these california golden bears got the potential to win a ******* national championship but they also got a ton of potential roadblocks, are they guys gonna be like lupe fiasco or not?

so many other question marks surrounding cal basketball:

are the cal dance & cheerleading teams gonna show up 100% toned or what?

is oski gonna get out of rehab and/or ever graduate from cal, does that dumb azz got any academic ambition at all?

are cal fans gonna show up in person to create a deafeningly loud hostile home court advantage with insane energy at haas pavilion to support the bears on gamedays & allow the staff to continue recruiting 5 star blue chippers that wanna play in front of large crowds?

what is your personal commitment to cal basketball to make this happen?

together we attack

team: arizona wildcats

shockster 2015/2016 pac 12 prediction: 1st place

coach: sean "dunkin' donuts" miller

what you need to know about miller: his guys play tenacious defense, not a great gameday coach...and yeah he likes them dunkin' donuts variety boxes, he's multiple that way

what up in tucson?: arizona loses a lot in stanley "bumper car" johnson (13.8 ppg & 6.5 rpg), undrafted college drop out brandon ashley (12.2 ppg & 5.2 rpg), rondae hollis-jefferson (11.2 ppg & 6.8 rpg) & fearless leader tj mcconnell (10.4 & 6.3 apg)

the wildcats will return kaleb "zeus" tarczewksi (9.3 ppg & 6.2 rpg) who along with utah's jakob poeltl are the best true 5s in the pac 12...boston college transfer ryan anderson will be an impact player at the 4 after redshirting last season & gabe york (9.2 ppg) along with former bears recruit (moms didn't like berkeley) elliott pitts & parker jackson-cartwright (suspended at loyola high school for cheating on classwork) will play bigger roles along with incoming freshman allonzo "the gunner" trier, justin simon & chase comanche (moms is a protypical little league dad)...the wildcat with the most nba upside ray smith tearing his acl is a damaging loss

what this means for the bears: the pac 12 title & west coast dominance runs thru tucson until cal knocks them on their azz...tuscon is a dump but them senior citizens from the surrounding retirement communities along with the low gpa students show up at mckale in numbers...this program was built by the legendary lute olson along with his braintrust jay john...it's currently being slowly run into the ground by donut boy, he's shown no indication that he's capable of winning the big games

Those Cal players having been putting in the blood, sweat and tears over the dog days of summer and this fall to get their minds, body and soul in shape for the basketball season

Only the players and the coaches (and a few close family and friends) truly know the hard work and personal sacrifice these men put in to play at the highest level of college basketball

Have you ever taken a thousand shots in an empty gym? Have you ever put on that cold sweaty practice jersey for the second half of a two day? Have you ever gotten out of bed with every part of your body aching from the workout and practice the day before? Have you ever had to go to class, then to practice, and then study for a mid-term before getting up early to catch a morning flight before a game?

I don't think so

This Cal team hasn't played a single game this season, but to me each one of them are winners, and deserve our support

Jabari looked more energized and focused and stronger in the scrimmage than I have ever seen him. Stopping Mathews pretty much the entire scrimmage (though Matthews did go to the line a fair amount and sank every free throw) was no mean feat and bodes well for Jabari's defense this year.

As many have noted, Mathews and Bird may both start or at least play a lot, pushing our 7 footers off the court.

At the same time, I thought both Okoroh and Rooks effectively clogged the lane in the scrimmage.

team: stanford cardinals

shockster 2015/2016 pac 12 prediction: 11th place

coach: johnny "the roadrunner" dawkins

what you need to know about dawkins: the hyperactive roadrunner has the annoying practice of doing a 60 second taliban like lectures in front of the bench with each player (they are not allowed to speak during this very public humiliation) after every substitution in order to publicly embarrass them instead of just letting them sit down...and yeah, johnny is also the worst game managing coach in the pac 12 with less than 5 minutes left in the game which has contributed to the cards missing the ncca tournament 6 out of his 7 years on the farm...beep, beep

what's up in palo alto?: the cardinals 3 best players chasson randle (19.6 ppg), anthony brown (14.8 ppg & 6.9 rpg) & stefen "frankenstein" nastic (13.4 ppg & 6.5 rpg) are all gone leaving only role players like the allen twins (who took sammy singer's stanford offer), enforcer reid travis, skinny big michael humphrey & incoming freshman cameron walker (note to the bears staff: strong gpa recruits from non urban & highly sheltered family backgrounds will almost pick stanford over cal, don't waste your time)

but make no mistake about it, nasty was the fugliest dude in the pac 12 last season

dude scared the **** out of a lot of little children by smiling at them

good thing for nastic is that it is one of life's basic truths that hot girls from academically mediocre schools like oregon and arizona want to date & marry cal, stanford & ivy league grads...so there's always hope for stefen

f
what this means for the bears: if the bears can push tempo against the non plus 1 athletic cards, a sweep of both pac 12 games is a real possibility this season...and then hopefully stanford athletic director bernard muir will lock up johnny with a 5 year guaranteed contract...look at the mr brightside, with the perennial top 5 worst (along with usc) attendance numbers in collegiate basketball, we can turn maples pavilion into haas south on gameday in palo alto...beep, beep

starting point guard robert cartwright is gone for the season after a compound fracture to the right forearm

starting guards marcus (stress fracture in right foot) & malcom allen (reinjury to previously broken wrist) along with backup center grant verhoeven are also currently injured with unknown potential return dates if at all

let's be real here, stanford has got the worst s&c program in the pac 12

dejan, when you visit palo alto next month make sure you ask the athletic director who is gonna be the next men's basketball coach in 2016, ok?
