more importantly, do you see that taylor & her dumb azz dad are holding hands?

we did that during the final minute for good luck (and probably also to keep me from stormin' the floor too early)...cal basketball is not stressful, it's a celebration of life and i am blessed every day of my life to see my feet when i wake up... living in a settlement in cape town with no education, no job & 5 hungry children is real stress

love you, sweetie, let's do this (and help others along the way)

taylor & i both noticed this season the significant uptick in the number of children at haas pavilion this season, cal basketball is truly multi generational & can be a celebration of the family

as a dad i seek out activities that i can share with my kids...kyle & i go to yoga classes together & eat sushi afterwards while discussing philosophy & his latest efforts to help kids with skateboarding...shay is uber competitive with her academics & is the mvp of her field hockey team along with working as a hostess at an upscale scottsdale japanese restaurant...and so it's quite remarkable that taylor who loves fashion & discovering cool dining spots has bonded with me over our shared love of cal basketball...this season has been an experience of highs & lows that we will never forget, it's part of the fabric of our lives

are you gonna bring you kids to haas pavilion next season?...if you just watch the games on tv, how are they gonna grow up to be passionate people of action instead of just a bleary eyed zombie like you?...trust me, cal basketball is the solution

the magic of cal basketball (share it with those that you love)#

Jabari Bird has been a big part of the surging Bears
In the first half of the USC game, with the game still tight, it was Jabari Bird who did the damage with 2 long range daggers

and in a game where many Bears provided huge plays, there was one that really caught my eye...

the trojans were trying to make a run by speeding up the game, and got a steal on a scramble play ... it looked bad as USC had a many on two fast break ... with SC PG passing the ball up court to what would have been a score (and maybe foul), Jabari took to the air and FLEW ... knocking the ball harmlessly out of bounds

to me, that may have been the play of the game

I recall the play.
I believe we made a steal first and had Brown on a fast break. But he slipped on what appeared to be a wet spot just as he was making the definitive move to the basket and lost control of the ball. USC grabbed it and started heading the other way, catching our team in scramble mode. Bird ran very hard back and deflected the pass to their guy under the basket. It was not noticed by most, but didn't escape you and I. That was worth 2 points right there! Thanks for pointing it out, he deserves the credit, absolutely.
Little things count.

At halftime of the Oregon game I noticed Nick actively instructing Ivan and Kam about defense (he was showing them defensive positions and waving his arms around)...Ivan and Kam were definitely listening very intently to what Nick was telling him...it was another example of Nick's intelligence and obviously the respect Ivan and Kam have for their teammate...

The criticism of inadequate reference is well taken. But just for the record (and because I imagine others may share this opinion), I was glad to hear that the reason Hamilton hasn't seen the court is that he was blue-shirting, and that there are reasons to imagine that his reportedly great basketball spirit and overall intelligence will have the chance to surprise a lot of opponents (as well as us).

Yes, that was / is Nick's game and how he made a reputation for himself with his defensive game while playing out of position and starting for the 2013 Los Angeles Div.l Champions Westchester High School. Where once he manned up against players like the Harrison twins... the Stanley Johnsons and others standing 6'8 plus. Defensive game!

I have wildly succeeded in getting two posters with opposite views to both misunderstand what I was trying to say. Or, as Red Sanders use to say (in a thick Southern Accent): We figyuh: "If we don't know what we is doin', ouvh opponents don't neither" So, to repeat: "I was glad to hear that the reason Hamilton hasn't seen the court is that he was blue-shirting, and that there are reasons to imagine that his reportedly great basketball spirit and overall intelligence will have the chance to surprise a lot of opponents (as well as us)." Well, maybe that's not the clearest either. But, let's just say that his mom's (or is it his dad's) posts about his extraordinary post play, at 6'4", plus his extraordinary intellect (which qualified for a scholarship at any university in the country, including Harvard, and on which -not an athletic scholarship- he is studying here, with the shame of having received one grade (an A minus) under an A, all has convinced me that, contrary to popular perception (i.e., he's never mentioned in the prospects people speculate for future years here), he may be a quite extraordinary player for our team, and (like all the other guys on this extraordinary collection of individuals) an extraordinary representative for our school and town culture.

the absolutely relentless cal basketball staff has offered 2016 6'2" 175 lbs point guard kyran bowman, an athletic former north carolina wide receiver football commit from havelock high school in north carolina...kyran's nickname is "the first 48" which comes from team wall coach/director kendrick williams based upon his ability to posterize opponents kinda like the a&e television real life homicide show

kyran fits the staff's targeted priority of bad azz physical defenders that can also slash/attack the basket & knock down free throws...bowman is underrated by the scouting services as he's just started focusing on basketball last summer, his upside is significant...he attributes his high motor play to growing up with older brothers & credits football for helping him develop his elite hand/eye coordination...on the season he is averaging 22 ppg, 8 boards, 4 assists & 2 steals and yeah, he will knock you on your azz

bowman scored a scorching 45 points along with 12 boards & 6 assists with fellow north carolinian j cole in the stands
http://usatodayhss.com/2016/n-c-star-point-guard-kyran-bowman-puts-on-a-show-as-j-cole-looks-on

kyran got a lot of offers but let's be real here, they are mostly academically mediocre schools for dumb azzs & not from the #1 ranked public (#3 overall) university in the world

team: arizona wildcats

shockster 2015/2016 pac 12 prediction: 1st place

coach: sean "dunkin' donuts" miller

what you need to know about miller: his guys play tenacious defense, not a great gameday coach...and yeah he likes them dunkin' donuts variety boxes, he's multiple that way

what up in tucson?: arizona loses a lot in stanley "bumper car" johnson (13.8 ppg & 6.5 rpg), undrafted college drop out brandon ashley (12.2 ppg & 5.2 rpg), rondae hollis-jefferson (11.2 ppg & 6.8 rpg) & fearless leader tj mcconnell (10.4 & 6.3 apg)

the wildcats will return kaleb "zeus" tarczewksi (9.3 ppg & 6.2 rpg) who along with utah's jakob poeltl are the best true 5s in the pac 12...boston college transfer ryan anderson will be an impact player at the 4 after redshirting last season & gabe york (9.2 ppg) along with former bears recruit (moms didn't like berkeley) elliott pitts & parker jackson-cartwright (suspended at loyola high school for cheating on classwork) will play bigger roles along with incoming freshman allonzo "the gunner" trier, justin simon & chase comanche (moms is a protypical little league dad)...the wildcat with the most nba upside ray smith tearing his acl is a damaging loss

what this means for the bears: the pac 12 title & west coast dominance runs thru tucson until cal knocks them on their azz...tuscon is a dump but them senior citizens from the surrounding retirement communities along with the low gpa students show up at mckale in numbers...this program was built by the legendary lute olson along with his braintrust jay john...it's currently being slowly run into the ground by donut boy, he's shown no indication that he's capable of winning the big games

bear down#

18th ranked arizona is 22-7/10-6

the wildcats are led by starters 6'9" 235 lbs ryan anderson (15.8 ppg with a lethal 57.1% on fgs & 10.1 rpg), 6'4" 190 lbs gunner allonzo trier (15.1 ppg), 6'3" 190 lbs gabe york (14.3 ppg with 41.1% on 3 pointers, the bears chaser gotta fight thru screens), 7' 250 lbs kaleb tarczewski (9.4 ppg with an accurate 55.6% on fgs & 9.0 rpg), 6'9" 205 lbs mark tollefsen (7.7 ppg & 3.3 rpg), 6'3" 200 lbs kadeem allen (8.3 ppg & 3.5 apg), 7' 255 lbs dusan rustic (8.1 ppg & 4.2 rpg) & allegedly 5'11" 170 lbs parker jackson-cartwright (5.3 ppg & 3.7 apg)...elliott pitts has gone up in smoke & left the program

arizona is playing more uptempo this season (81 ppg) & that should benefit cal...the wildcats are a strong rebounding team & the bears gotta exceed their energy/intensity on the boards...both ivan & jaylen will have post up opportunities for high percentage shots & getting arizona's bigs in foul trouble...both the king & kam will need to protect the basket without fouling...the wildcats guards & wings are not nba pros like last season, there will be opportunities to attack the basket & knock down the open 3 pointers

unlike the 1st game this season, this battle will include then injured tyrone wallace & allonzo trier, advantage cal

yeah, the bears got a lotta enemies in tucson (young ivee is gonna hear a lot of ****), they tryna to drain us of our synergy but make no mistake about it, tuscon is a dump

I'll take the opposite here.
WORST

The guy has two daughters, talks about the special times they share, posts photos of her and even a couple days ago one of the two of them at the game. Special father-daughter moments. To be true, it doesn't get any better than that!

But then he throws this crap out there? Good god, only a sick-o.
I know he does it because he is pandering to young testosterone driven recruits. He wants to get eyeballs on his page in hopes they will build positive thought association with "Cal".

But this is not the way to lift up the world. Explaining what is wrong here... the words escape me. Only when he catches an image of his own daughter being pounded on by young (or old) testosterone driven men will he get it. "Oh, I'm perpetuating the objectification of women - it's no wonder she got treated that way."

PS: watermelon, sorry, but you're part of it.

Ok, this is an awesome photo!
Check out all the reactions, the teammates, the fans (I see you Mrs. Inman), even the USC fans in the front row are smiling. Oh, wait, except one fellow - whom I recognize!
Yes, he's the same dumbass with the same dumbass expressionless face I saw last year exit the stands from that same location after Ty's game winning stunner.

How f'ing hilarious! I love it!
Picture the dude, wearing the same bright Trojan shirt, invading the Cal section right behind our coach, all proud and **** to stand out like that, 2 years in a row going home with that same stupid look on his face. Priceless!
First, it was a stunner.
Second, it was a blowout laugher. Except he's not laughing. At least the girls with him have better sense and can appreciate the moment.

I was sitting about 8 rows up, but the exit portal when he walked by. When I saw the USC shirt, I got a little incensed thinking, "wtf are you doing wearing that in THIS section? GTFO" and with that nanosecond logic, I pointed and laughed as our eyes met. Then I thought, oh, I'd better not - he could reach over and slug me, he looks pissed. He filed out without incident, and I wrote about it on this board.

But now, one year later, there he is again. Same sad face.
So, who is giving him their tickets?
And let's hope he doesn't show up wearing that **** again.
The guy should be identifiable. He's tall, good looking, and obviously a typical usc arrogant puss.

sean miller (looking at his bloated belly while taking a couple more bites): "that doesn't sound like any fun"

sean: "are you ******* kidding?...mark ******* tollefsen?

sean (wiping his mouth with his arizona golf shirt to get the red & blue sprinkles off his lips while picking up another donut): "what the **** are you talkin' about?"

greg (with a sigh): "why did damon leave for basically a lateral position at memphis?"

sean (talking with his mouth full): "who knows, who cares, him and josh always had some weird **** going on, anyways we don't need any more guys from the northwest to be successful"

greg: "do you think you'll be able to beat cal 3 times again next season?"

sean picks up the dunkin' donuts variety pack box in front of him, tucks it under his arm & walks out while slamming the door...he really, really likes them variety boxes, he's multiple that way

seasons change, people change, the balance of power in the pac 12 is changing, sean miller is never gonna change & stop eating them heart attack hand grenades, he loves them dunkin' donuts...who knew that huf is the lead singer for future islands?

dr kalbearski: "sean, a lot of people are worried about you including amy, are you in a good place these days?"

sean (sarcastically): "other than the balance of power in the pac 12 shifting from tucson to berkeley, what would i be upset about?...we lost ivan rabb and jaylen brown to that bald azz guy and now not even loyal wildcats like sean rooks and steve kerr will send their kids to me"

dr kalbearski: "sean, i think it's important that you keep a balanced perspective to ensure your mental health, that you try to maintain a realistic appraisal of your current environment"

sean: "what the **** are you talkin' about?"

dr kalbearski: "tuscon is a dump"

sean miller (stuffing a strawberry jam maple bar in his mouth): "are you serious, we're probably gonna lose him to ucla and them adidas shoes and that totally ***** up our chances with jaylen hands visiting this weekend, might as well just get drunk again during his visit, we got zero ******* chance now"

amy: (sipping a diet dr pepper): "kinda weird how all the arizona fans thought your being coach of the usa team would help recruiting"

sean: "our fans are around 90 years old and live in retirement communities in green valley, they don't know ****"

amy: "well at least you got to spend time with archie"

sean: "**** archie, he never shares them donuts, he's just a greedy chunky monkey"

amy: "sweetie, what's really bothering you?"

sean: "that bald azz guy in berkeley is closing the gap on our program, i'd really like to kick the crap out of that shocky guy too, he's ******* annoying"

amy: "i really wish you wouldn't swear so much around the kids & maybe you could pay more attention to us, ok?"

sean (glumly): "what?"

on march 5, 2015 sean miller left his starters late in the game as he intentionally tried to roll up the score (score 100 points & beat cal by 40+ points) in tucson in an effort to serve notice to then recruit ivan rabb that cal was a ******* 2nd rate basketball program...the wildcats beat the bears 99-60 as a result of miller's transparent actions to disrespect the bears...i looked the cal players & staff players in their eyes as they left the court that nite and smiled, bad karma is hard to overcome

then the overmatched bears met the wildcats in the pac 12 tournament and seniors dwight tarwater, christian behrens & david kravish physically knocked the **** out of their opponents in a bloody losing battle, there was no hanging of heads in the locker room, guys left their hearts on the court

and now almost a year later young ivee is wearing a californa golden bears uniform at the #1 ranked public university in the world & the academically mediocre (95%+ acceptance rate) school from pima county is hosting once again them bears

and yeah, sean miller is not only the chunky donut boy from tuscon but he's also created a galaxy of bad karma that even my yoga practice can't save him from

this **** is getting live

How long do you want to ignore this user?
Btw, I kinda liked the song, but the lyrics have got me thinking:
"Stay so clean, picture obscene
Black soap, black soap."
Fitting.
