the bears are flying home to the bay area from the desert, let's be real here, it's a lot more fun to travel 1st class after a road victory...gold in the spring & diamonds in the fall
criminal dana altman's breaking bad oregon (25-6/14-4) enterprise (sports program loosely affilated with an academically mediocre school) won the pac 12 title & finished off usc (20-11/9-9) in south central
colorado (21-10/10-8) blew a 14 point lead in losing 57-55 to utah (24-7/13-5) as jakob poeltl pounded his way inside for 16 points & 13 boards in salt lake city
gabe york exploded for 9 3 pointers as arizona (24-7/12-6) as the wildcats under the donut boy of tucson will be seeded below them california golden bears in defeating johnny dawkin's candy azz soft stanford cardinals (15-14/8-10) in pima county's largest dump
rapist enabler steve alford's ucla bruins (15-16/6-12) mailed it in at pauley pavillion is losing 86-82 to oregon state (18-11/9-9) to deface westwood's disgraced tradition of sam gilbert buying players for john wooden
#4 virginia (27-4) bitch whered #11 ranked louisville 68-46 is charlottesville
san diego state (23-8) out gambled the joe pastenack less (now) unlv car valet majors 92-56
incarnate word (17-12) outprayed & outplayed houston baptist 97-86
my daughter shay's dream school uc santa barbara (17-12) pipelined cal poly 69-50 at nobu in malibu
st mary (26-4) rambled by loyola marymount 60-48 at the gaels tiny crack house in moraga
davidson (18-11) is marching towards 20 wins in impeaching george washington 87-39 but make no mistake about it donald trump is a racist with man boobs who rides in a golf cart & is unfit for the white house
Just about The Donald (FWIW): I have NEVER seen so much of the American Body Politic (whatever one might say about its lack of width due to its shrunken left wing) be in such accord (me included) about anything as the Full Court Press (a concession to this Board) that is going on now against Donald Trump. Maybe the interesting thing to explore is the depth (?and maybe breadth? - although I don't really know about that) of his support among the American Electorate.
Ivan continues to impact the game on both sides of the court
it wasn't too long ago that Ivan announced his commitment to Cal, and since that day, the trajectory of Cal basketball has forever changed

There is a huge amount of depth, breadth, and width to the anti-Trump desire. It is both pointed and firm. Don't doubt it's ability to break thru any barriers to reach it's destination. Whether that destination resides within Hillary or anyone else doesn't matter. It will not shrink until success is in hand.
after a brutal loss in tucson, the bears were down by 10 in tempe & flatlining, the game was at risk of becoming a blowout
and then coach martin put in roger moute a bidias for a couple of minutes who brought energy into the game by relentlessly chasing his defender defensively, competing for every rebound & 50/50 loose ball & attacking the basket (his acrobatic fast break shot barely spun out)...roger infused his sleepy azz teammates with ******* energy & then the reinvigorated bears were off to the races
rmb is not only the most well traveled & most fluent in multiple languages bear but he is also arguably the most unselfish student athlete on this year's team...he never complains about playing time, just works his azz off every day with a smile on his face, gotta absolutely love this guy
the highlight of last season's intimate postseason team banquet at the university club at memorial stadium with stunning views of the san francisco skyline at dusk was roger telling both taylor & i that he & the guys love reading the cal's monster class & inviting our family to stay at his family's home in yaounde, cameroon next time we visit africa
africa is kinda like cal basketball, it is a country of unforgettable beauty & hope for the future with it's inspiring people who work every the day to achieve their goals despite the odds but it can also sometimes break your heart with it's failures
merci beaucoup, roger moute a bidias, vous est certes une personne remarqueable qui a investi temps et nergie dans se famille

happy holidays from capetown, south africa
took my family to robben island where former president of south africa & human activist nelson mandela was imprisoned for 18 years because of his outspoken efforts to abolish apartheid (segregation) policies...to understand the roots of the civil rights movement in the united states & the university of california-berkeley's role in those important efforts, nelson mandela's courageous views should be studied & appreciated
we all went para gliding off signal mountain (adjacent to table mountain)...an experienced (and preferably sober) guide flies with you
also said hello to the warm weather penguins (only other place i've seen them is melbourne) in simon's town
today we spent christimas morning in a shantytown, to see the reactions in the eyes of my kids shay, taylor & kyle is something i won't forget for a while...we were invited into homes made creatively out of virtually every construction piece of material possible, a one room house the size of a cal dorm rooming sleeping 10 people (3 families) every night
we ate lunch with a family, the mom had a 7 inch knife scar on her neck...as we left we all told lele & her family merry christmas & i gave her a gift of rands equal to a year's wages which was received with tears & appreciation...lele is a heroic mom doing the best she can under unimaginable circumstances, she is my idol
Welcome to Cal, Mr. Coleman. I liked what you had to say about you and your family being excited for you to expand your horizons to California. I think you'll find that The Bay Area is a great place to live! Berkeley will challenge you to grow in many ways and this affords you with a huge opportunity. The basketball part of it that we all debate here is just one small slice of life. I'm sure you will work hard to make the most of you chance to play D1/Pac12 "conference of champions" ball, but in the end, getting a degree at Cal, taking in all you can while here, that is job #1. Congrats and best of luck! I look forward to watching you compete, and hearing about your story as we move forward.

Tucson 2016 wasn't near the brutal loss that Tucson 2015 was. Hardly! We had this game won and only lost because some kid had the weekend of his life and his home court (with pac12 refs taking note). 2015 was quite the debacle, on the other hand. Losing in Tucson this year changed nothing for pac12 tourney seeding. We'll be able to rectify it in a few more days. In other words, very exciting, but in the end, yaaaaawwwnnnnnn......

tom, trust me, your perception of the tucson loss is quite a bit different than that of the players
My point is, yeah, the loss may sting, but it's just a road bump in the overall journey. Recognize that.
We have now in front of us two big prize tournaments staring us in the face. Tucson may have been a point of pride, but there is not only pride on the line in the next couple weeks, but very real HONORS! Tucson changed NOTHING in the standings!
i conversed in tempe with both phx sun general manager ryan mcdonough & boston celtics general manager danny ainge who sat courtside next to each other re: tyrone wallace
t-wall is defensively disruptive with his length & scored 24 points on 7-11 field goals & a perfect 8-8 on free throws along with 7 boards & 5 assists
unlike the misinformed tv loser fans that talk **** on this board about wallace, his real fans are in his corner 100% of the time

My God, Shocky, you are just so cool, talking to GMs and sitting courtside. I can't even fathom what a day in the life of Shocky is like. You should write a book so we all can learn more about you, and learn more from you.

i didn't sit courtside by ainge & mcdonough, i sat behind the cal bench with my daughter taylor & her bff julianna along with my buddy slim wadie but no worries, more than happy to inscribe my book for you at cal's next game

us news is ranking cal #3 in their 2015 collegiate world rankings
a cal degree is like a winning lottery ticket, it will open an unlimited number of doors in the future in your quest to achieve your dreams & goals in life...today's highly competitive global marketplace favors those that are well educated, that's just the way it is...if you go to an academically mediocre school & get injured you are ******, that's why you got to be mentally limitless
but you gotta have academic ambition to graduate from cal, are you willing to do the work?
yeah, ambition is priceless, it's something in your veins
who knew that coach webster (dude to the far right) also got an acting career?
transparency in recruiting: dontae, if you commit to them california golden bears, i'm gonna call you dontae during your entire time in berkeley, there's absolutely zero chance i'm evah gonna call you don
who are these guys on the california golden bears basketball team?

*will graduate/graduated from cal joining 2012 grads bak bak, brandon smith & robert thurman
cal fans can expect every player listed above to either leave cal with a degree and/or a nba contract..patrick christopher, justin cobbs & richard solomon all have around one+ remaining semester of schoolwork necessary to earn their cal degrees...as the wise marco harris once told me, men take care of their business
of the 300+ ncaa d1 bb teams, cal is among the most academically elite programs along with stanford and the ivy leagues most noteably harvard
the above is the MOST IMPORTANT stat sheet in cal basketball
this is the difference between basketball factories that use up & then discard their workers (leaving them unemployable on the streets) in today's highly competitive global economy and legitimate collegiate institutions of higher learning with an academic purpose...if you go to an academically mediocre school like kentucky or arizona & get injured you are ******
academic ambition is a beautiful thing, it will open doors in business after your basketball days are over & help you meet the girl of your dreams (and you're not thinking about it now but it will also help you raise intellectually curious children someday)...you can be limitless mentally
here's the deal dontae, you got an underachieving 2.8 gpa at butler high school which impacted your recruitment but then became academically ambitious & worked harder in the classroom with resulted in a 3.3 gpa at lawson state
if you can get a 3.0+ gpa your 1st semester at cal, i'll stop calling you dontae & start calling you don, ok?
but until then, what up dontae?
bears are smart#
Nuts. Simply nuts. I don't even want to explain what's wrong with this. Think before you type, please.
note from management: in an attempt to make positive strides in adhering to greater professional standards of conduct with respects to talking **** & stuff like that, the cal's monster class is 100% fully committed to not repeating those mistakes any more in the future

Great quote, great find, BBinLA. But come on! You've got to paste this stuff so it actually gets read.

noted cereal expert & espn analyst clark kellogg thinks cal could potentially be a final four team
