juhwan "the spider fly" harris dyson is playing like one of the nation's top wing defenders (he literally just physically takes the ball away) & also developing offensively particularly in transition as the heritage christian warriors are still unbeaten after 5 season opening victories...juhwan still gotta put up at least 500+ shots (preferably 1000) a day like jemarl & trevin every day no matter what, crooked azz shooting is not a fate, it's a choice

*****16 points vs winward, named mvp of the west valley thanksgiving tip off classic

louisiana tech bulldogs (3-2) are a very balanced scoring team with multiple weapons that plays tough on the road, their 2 losses are by 9 points at south carolina & by 11 points at nebraska

the bulldogs are led by 6'8" 225 lbs senior erik mcgee (14.4 ppg & 6.2 rpg), explosive 6'6" 175 lbs jacobi boykins (14 ppg including 26 points in their last game, cal's best defender roger moute a bidias gotta fearlessly chase him thru brutal screen packages to prevent him from going off), 6'4" 190 lbs jalen harris (11.3 ppg on 48.6% field goals), 6'9" 255 lbs omar sherman (11.2 ppg on a deadly 61.9% field goals & 5 rpg) & 6'2" 185 lbs derric jean (10 ppg & 4.8 apg)

louisiana tech is not only balanced but also handles the ball well with only 12 turnovers per game, this is gonna be a battle tonite at 6:00 pm at haas pavilion, are you gonna be there to support your bears with gameday energy?

the bulldogs major weakness is perimeter shooting (only 28.3% on 3 pointers for the season), the bears cannot let them attack the basket for easy point blank looks in the paints...and most importantly both young ivee & the king gotta play their smartest games of the season & avoid foul trouble due to the lack of depth among the bigs until kam returns

let's do this

left to right, kingsley "the uk's tallest point guard" okoroh, ivan "diamonds are forever" rabb, charlie "lume's pancake house" moore, grant "the wolf of wall street" mullins, sammy "the blue monster" singer & derek "the barber*" king

when i recruited (with nominal assistance from the staff) cal's diamonds are forever class (2016), this is the dominating performance that we envisioned from young ivee as bishop o'dowd's finest scored a career high 25 points on 75% (9 of 12) field goals & a california state championship game ice in his veins 7-9 free throws along with 13 boards...kayne got mono & he ******* fell apart, my boy ivan got mono & he is fighting back with inspirational inner strength just like his moms tami did when she moved the family into her delancey restaurant in order to pursue the dream

trust me the king has never played anywhere near 40 minutes in a real basketball game in his entire life...loved his emotion when the team headed into overtime & he slammed his hands while sitting in the team chairs, okoroh wants this, he's not the english gentleman on the court anymore, he's finally playing like a hard azz...and yeah the shared team high with sammy 4 assists along with 12 boards & 5 blocks (and another half a dozen seriously altered/disrupted shots) was critical to tonite's mentally tough bears victory

charlie is still growing up with 19 points including a critical 3 point dagger late in the game but he knows the 5 turnovers & only 3 assists is unacceptable, he will watch game video with the staff & learn from his mistakes

this team's emerging identity is a bunch of bad azzs that compete on every possession including times of adversity, that happened tonite in limiting the bulldogs to 27.3% (18 of 66) field goals & 23.5% (4 of 17) 3 pointers...too bad the free throw d (19 of 23) was ****

the biggest key (as referenced in the game preview) to tonite's developmental win was both the king & young ivee playing with foul trouble & not fouling out against a very physical front court, that's gonna continue to be a major focus of emphasis until kam returns hopefully in early january

*roger told me before the game that his fresh clean haircut is courtesy of derek who got hair cutting tools & **** like that, my advice is don't **** him off...i dunno maybe if derek would stylize the domes of coaches martin, tracy, wyking, marco & marcus them walk ons might get to play saturday but king won't play this season because of some transcript eligibility thing

#7 ranked virginia cavaliers (7-0) revealed a weakness in getting outscored 32-18 in the paint in coming from behind 63-61 vs the ohio state buckeyes...the bears gotta gameplan to pound the ball inside to young ivee & the king particularly with enforcer austin nichols kicked off the team

starting point guard parker jackson cartwright (got caught cheating academically during his senior year at loyola high school & was suspended for academic fraud, arizona is a good fit) severely sprained his right ankle & according to the donut boy of tuscon could be out "a considerable amount of time" as the arizona wildcats (6-1) forgot to take their peds & asthma medications in drugging the texas southern tigers 85-63

bennie boarwright got carried off the court with a damaged medial collateral ligament (mri tomorrow) as the usc trojans (7-0) lubricated 76-55 the san diego toreros

issac hamilton scored a career high 27 points including 7 3 pointers & lonzo ball added 13 assists as the ucla bruins (8-0) landslided 98-56 the uc riverside highlanders

stanford cardinals (6-2) got crooked azz 3 point shooting (3 of 12) in losing 66-51 at home to the st mary gaels...when stud reid travis is neutralized to 8 points the cards got no offense

the corrupt oregon ducks basketball organization (6-2) illegally hunted 93-54 the western oregon wolves...laws & ethics don't mean **** to criminal dana altman, just tell their corporate sponsor to increase the aau subsidies to the dad's summertime team

it is not known if the washington huskies (4-3) will play any d this season in getting leaped 86-71 by the tcu horned frogs despite 1 & one markelle fultz scoring 21 points along with 14 boards & 6 assists but also 6 turnovers...the bears staff gotta stay in contact with current husky top 50 2017 commits (both got 3.5 gpas) jaylen nowell (onetime cal commit to his uncle travis decuire) & daejon davis in case romar is fired after missing the ncca tournament for a 6th time in a row as expected

colorado buffaloes (5-2) despite a +9 rebounding advantage got head butted 72-58 by their in state rival colorado state rams in boulder...it's not known if tad boyle got high after the game or what

alcorn state braves (2-4, cal's next opponent this saturday afternoon) played competitively in eventually getting pushed off the golden gate bridge 79-65 by the usf dons...the braves attacked the glass for 42 boards but a crooked azz 20% (4 of 20) on 3 pointers doomed them from a tasty celebratory desert at ghiradelli...oh well, it's better to have a flat stomach than to win a dumb azz basketball game

my pal cole gentry got 5 points as the south dakota jackrabbits (3-6) hopped by 90-58 some random school called the minnesota crookston golden eagles...apparently crookston is well known for its well regarded ice hole fishing major

southeastern louisiana lions (5-3) tamed 85-75 the winless maryland eastern shores hawks who play basketball like puffy crab cakes

big win for the uc irvine anteaters (4-4) in bucking the santa clara broncos 58-55 in silicon valley, venture capital did not affect the outcome of this game

wyoming cowboys (4-2) broke back mountained 82-70 the denver pioneers, got no idea where that is at all maybe it's near cherry hills or something

listen to an articulate (which is not surprising since he got a 4.0+ gpa) trevin knell talk about playing with jemarl & juhwan in the future...he also diplomatically handles the question re: the in state options without referencing the significant academic disparity between those schools & the #1 ranked public (#3 overall) university in the world (including the entire state of utah)

too bad he doesn't explain his quest for 3 unhealthy candy bars, there's gotta be more to this story

seton hall pirates (5-2) looted 95-71 the overmatched but intellectually superior columbia lions with the pirates dominating on the boards +14...grant mullins dnp...it's gonna be a long azz flight for seton hall from newark to honolulu for their next game vs hawaii on december 6th followed by the cal game the next day...hopefully hawaiian airlines don't lose all their gear/luggage or route it to bali or something, that would be a shame

special k's creampuff preseason continues with the utah utes (5-1 all at home) escaping 92-84 the montana state bobcats despite a +20 rebounding advantage...17 turnovers & 26.3% (5 of 19) on 3 pointers no es bueno

without daddy's boy tres, wayne tinkle's oregon states beavers (3-5) got licked (again) 74-57 by the mississippi state bulldogs...injuries have decimated the beavs particularly in the front court & they are currently playing multiple walk ons

cal poly mustangs (4-4) slo beeped 59-47 the san antonio roadrunners at the madonna inn...the bears gotta gameplan to force the pace with the slopoke mustangs who turn the ball over only 11 times a game, cal has not maximized their transition scoring opportunities this season

jordan, you scored 34 points with 22 boards, 5 blocks, 2 assists in leading your roseville tigers to a 72-55 mauling of the whitney wildcats in their den & then you signed autographs & took selfies with fans, did you also fly your team's uber helicopter back to the school after the game so you could get your classwork done to maintain your 3.5 gpa?

if you wanna stay closer to your family so moms & dad can share in your collegiate gameday experiences, then the short 95 mile trip on 1-80 from roseville to the #1 ranked public (#3 overall) university in the world is probably your best option, not sure if vacaville got a high major d1 basketball program or what

but guess what, jordan?...your not my favorite fueled up uber helicopter pilot at all, it's not even close...kinda wish she would focus more on the control panel/instruments & **** like that but that's not really that important

if berkeley is too far for the brown family & isn't close enough, the sacramento state hornets basketball program would be a good option too

let's be real here, if the bears don't continue to feed a flashing young ivee down low in the paint with high lobbing entry passes both ivan & myself are this close to transferring to tami rabb's school, them sacramento state hornets

jordan brown & young ivee at sac state in 2018, that's a potential national championship duo once we get paris austin to transfer in from boise state, we'd play all our home games at the golden1 center & i'd sit courtside on gamedays with with kevin johnson' mom (she's a lot of fun & a good dancer too)

our staff in the capital would include the winningiest head coach in the history of college basketball justin labagh with lou richie, richard midgley & theo robertson as the assistant coaches, administration would be replaced to include marcus green as the chancellor & mitch elkins as the athletic director

we'd also change our school/mascot name to: the sacramento state ******* hornets...yeah let's hear roxy & coach montomgery say that multiple times during a national broadcast when were at the final 4...i'm ok with the current school colors of green & gold

roger, big fan of your new offensive move your taking 1-2 times a game when dribbling/entering the lane from the side & then pulling up for a point blank clean looking jumper in the paint close to the basket...the shot didn't drop last game but no worries, that's just basketball (sometimes the ball doesn't go in)...you clearly worked your azz off this summer in la at your big bro richard's nba crib on your game in the gym, nobody is gonna outwork rmb

ideally you would take this basket attacking drive (if the d gives you the opportunity, no need to force anything) 3-4 times a game along with continuing to drain the wide open 3 point look along with your continued acrobatic rebounding (your 5.2 rpg is a big part of the bears +11.5 rebounding domination, that's 9th in the nation)...but my favorite part of your game is your d, your fearlessly chasing elite opposing shooters thru brutal screen packages, you move so efficiently with focused aggression like a lion chasing his prey thru the safari bush during the transcendent african skies evening...this **** is getting live

some people look back at their lives with regrets, what if they had worked more passionately towards their goals?...that's not you & i rog, we relentlessly attack every day that's the only way we know how to do things, it's ingrained in our dna...we are brothers from different mothers

to celebrate your new starter status, i got a sleek haircut (just like you) today from one eye al (he's from hungary) at supercuts which cost me only a jefferson (12 bucks for the cut & the rest tip) which isn't as good as your deal with derek...it's important to be aerodynamic, right?

alcorn state braves (2-4) compete in the southwestern athletic conference & are on the 3rd game (lost the 1st two games to colorado state 80-58 & university of san francisco 78-65) of a brutal 4 game road trip that will then bizarrely finish at louisiana tech on monday...that's the life of a low mid major but it doesn't say much about their athletic department's commitment to academic work in the classroom...marco harris has done a masterful job with scheduling since his arrival to ensure that our california golden bears miss very school days outside of pac 12 road games, next week's jaunt to the islands is during cal's dead week before finals

the braves got 10 kinda interchangeable guys that average double digit minutes & are led by 6'7" 265 lbs marquis vance (13.5 ppg & 6.8 rpg), charles barkley clone 6'5" 250 lbs reginal johnson (12.5 ppg & 6.7 rpg) & 6'4" 200 lbs denzel dulin (11.2 ppg)...none of the rotation guys are over 6'8" but these guys got big azzs & will physically push around the less hefty bears if they aren't mentally read to battle

the bears gotta continue to develop their identity/branding as one of the nation's top d teams, we are currently the 9th ranked team in the united states of america in field goal defense (35.5%)...the braves shoot a crooked azz 30.2% on 3 pointers & only 60.4% on free throws, they are not a great shooting team...we gotta challenge every shot in the paint & play energized lockdown d, forcing them to shoot low percentage perimeter shots at the end of the shot clock will be important this afternoon

cal has done a poor job of scoring in transition this season which is disappointing given that the bears are an outstanding rebounding team (cal's +11.5 rebounding margin is the 9th best in the nation) & that our guards are fast enough to push tempo, this game will be an opportunity to score in transition against an opponent with less foot speed running down court

ivan & the king gotta make it their #1 priority to not get in foul trouble, to move their feet & not reach with their arms on d & to not get any dumb azz frustration reaching over the top fouls...when attacked at the rim they gotta outstretch their hand vertically with a strong fixed base & take charges, no happy feet

in a perfect world (and trust me cal basketball is not linear) them rescue walk ons will benefit from my clear message to coach martin with 3-5 minutes left in the game for him to let the ******* dogs of war (cole, koko & nicky ham) into the battle at the barricade

___________________________________________________________________________________________________________

taylor & i park our rental car on schlesinger way next to the evans diamonds front gate on opening nite vs them south dakota state jackrabbits & walk to the front entrance of haas pavillion an hour before tip off so we can together watch the early warm ups & infuse our guys with pregame dumb azz energy...even tho i just got off a 15 hour flight from new zealand i'm bouncing with energy, 100% amped up & ready to ******* roll, let's do this baby

so as we walk thru the barricade the yellow jacketed security one of the young guys checks out taylor's fenty by rihanna black slippers & yells out "ohhhhh"

his 5 buddies come over to taylor too & say "ohhhhh" too...so i tell them "guess what bozos, what about my guiseppe zanotti metallic blue double bar high top kicks?" as i lift one of my sneakers so they can closely check out the 3 zippers (the one in the back doesn't actually work)

and they crowd me & say "ohhhhh" & we exchange fist bumps

now we're all fired up so i tell them, "you call her stefani, i call you heftyne" & then point to the sky and yell "ooouuu"

they get into it & we're all yelling "ooouuu" at that point, we're screaming into the bay area nite together

left to right, cole "surfer dude" welle, koko "sweet azz shooting stroke" kurdoghlian, nick "the smartest bear of them all" hamilton, roman "all the way up" davis & dontae "chief noc a homa" coleman

perfect sunny saturday afternoon at haas pavilion attended by true california golden bears fans with palpable love throughout the building...a special shout out to coach martin for remembering the slow & the forgotten, the walk ons nick, koko & cole...we are all rescue walk ons

much love to grant mullins who is back in burlington canada showing respect to his grandmother who has passed on, we are all living on borrowed time here on planet earth & it's imperative that we tell those that we truly love what's in our hearts & live each day with relentless passion pursuing our dreams...travel arrangements will be made for grant to fly from canada's east coast to hawaii if that's what he's ready to do

the most exciting play of the game was charlie's fueled up entry lob pass dime to young ivee that ignited the bears faithful, that magical play is worth more than 2 points as it gets all of ivan's teammates, coaches & staff on their feet along with the fan base screaming from the rooftops...let's continue to look for those opportunities, it's a gameday momentum shifting play

awesome to see cole battling for 6 points on a perfect 3 for 3 field goals plus 3 boards & shooting the aptos pipeline in his 5 minutes & roman scoring his 1st points (3 in total) as a california golden bear, he's got nba athleticism & once his practice shooting work ethic catches up with his elite god given talents davis is gonna be a pretty special player

brandon chauca told me his last cast has been replaced this week with a smaller cast, if he's not ready to roll in the near future, he might blueshirt this season...he's thrilled his parents are gonna be in the islands, he hasn't seen them since july...chauca trivia fact: he used to play the violin back in the day

the guys are gonna get packed for honolulu, everybody all aboard the love train
