I THINK THE PROBLEM IS Madsen led us to believe we could win the conference yet a recent poll says we are going to finish in last place. He threw out unrealistic expectations.

Sorry OD. Madsen led us to believe the team would be better, and at least it is watchable. Saying your team's goal is to win the conference is not the same as predicting you will win it. And on the flip side, the "recent poll" is not a result, so even that is irrelevant.

Bottom line, we've got some guys that can score. It's not a coincidence that the majority of the minutes on Rod's podcasts focus on defense. That has to get better, and will ultimately determine how many conference games we win this year.

Generally, that's a cliche that is equivalent to "we're no pushover." Butler coach Thad Matta reflected the same sentiments in his post game press conference after the double OT game.

Not depressing to me , I love learning about your insights and playing defense properly. if they can learn a little zone I think it will help the team immensely.
