Rule should be that the defense has the option to take the penalty and the play, because the holding should be penalized even if the play was unsuccessful.

Watching Cal Football is like watching a scrambled porn channel as a 15 year old. You think you see something good, but can't quite make it out. You keep watching thinking at some point you will see something worthwhile. In the end, you have nothing and are left wondering "why?". SMH
