Yes. Last year was a freebie for every player in CFB.concordtom said:Does this mean that EVERY single Cal Bear gets an extra season from last season (only 4 games) if they and the coaching staff want it?Strykur said:concordtom said:
How is it possible that Bequette is a 7th year senior?
2 injuries + 1 pandemic?
That has to be entirely unprecedented, because they only recently began to give a 2nd injury season back (for 6), right?
Everybody got an extra year so yeah a 6th year guy could then get 7.

As expected Musgrave is trash

Halftime is for adjustments. Let's see how they handle this before we decide to go out back and vomit.
Wow. Even for those teams who played a ton of games? That's kinda ridiculous.BearSD said:Yes. Two good drives, three bad drives (though on the last one it's more on Garbers for skipping that horrible pass on 3rd and short, not the playcalling).

And he is a grad student
Yes this ain't working for him. Beau as bad as he was finally starting clicking with Chase the last three games of 2019 (Big Game, UCLA and Illinois). Smh.calumnus said:sycasey said:

Musgrave trying to turn Garbers into a drop back pocket passer seems futile.
The jury is no longer out on Garbers.calumnus said:sycasey said:

You want Garbers to be what, exactly? He's not Goff, and he's not Rodgers.calumnus said:sycasey said:

its not. the illini QB last week has been around since i wanna say 2014. covid plus some new leniency from the NCAA means some old dudes are playing college footballconcordtom said:

Garbers is a senior QB not some freshman with no experience. He doesn't have to be Goff or AR. Let him make some plays. No pass that I recall over 5 yards. Geez.BearSD said:You want Garbers to be what, exactly? He's not Goff, and he's not Rodgers.calumnus said:sycasey said:

If the O-line doesn't play better, the options are very limited.
Absolutely agree. Garbers looks like a fish outta water. I suspect a lot of that is on Musgrave. Not impressed with his offense so far. First two drives were great, but 1 quarter does not a game make.calumnus said:sycasey said:

Honestly, I'd like to see us play more like the 1st quarter, less like the 2nd quarter.

I don't think this is a Garbers issue so much as a play calling issue. We kept running the same thing and they stopped it. We just didn't respond to make them pay for it. They've been talking about the pep talk from the Nevada coaches. Who on our side line is gonna give a pep talk?
He threw the back shoulder one to Hunter with the PI call. There was a mid-range one to Clark as well. Other than that it's been pretty much all short stuff, and nothing with the receivers in stride.KoreAmBear said:Garbers is a senior QB not some freshman with no experience. He made plays when he had halfway decent protection, then didn't when the protection was indecent.KoreAmBear said:Garbers is a senior QB not some freshman with no experience.
