there's 2 games this season that a more aggressive defensive gameplan could've turned a loss into a win...one was the notre dame game in south bend, the irish's qb tommy rees is a short not overly talented game manager who had never started a game before & was inexperienced in reading defenses and audibiling out of plays

the same thing also applies to the colorado game in boulder which saw the buffs start a true freshman qb, we gave him time to settle into the game, that should've never happened

coach sirmon/coach wilcox should've unleashed the dogs of ******* war in both games kinda the way arizona's defensive coordinator don brown did against our out of his league qb in tucson last season on every ******* single play

this candy azz soft gameplan for notre dame was not surprising to anyone who follows cal football, the bears were undefeated at 3-0 & justin rolled with his "not gonna lose by doing anything stupid" mindset...and so he coached conservatively taking no risks & we lost

wanna hear some good news?

coach wilcox is a better/more aggressive head coach when his team got a losing record so ima expecting a much more killer attack approach this saturday at 7:00 pm at oregon state in corvallis...we saw this with his out of character onside kick in south central last weekend & also the blitz happy victories late in the season victories at home against the buffs & the beavers during last year's 5-7 losing mediocrity

but guess what?

coach wilcox is not as introspective (and probably not as emotionally available either) as me so hopefully multiple staff members are gonna show him this post so he amps us the pressure this saturday nite & more importantly in the 2023 opener and then throughout the season

look shocks is a lite drinker (he don't need alcohol to loosen up, he wuz born ready for action/movement) but if there ever wuz a head coach who would benefit from 3 tequila shots before kickoff, then justin wilcox would be that guy

his pregame speech would be slurry & sometimes difficult to decipher but the message would be simple: "we are gonna **** those guys up, ima tired of those mother*******"

real talk (the world according to shocky, jeff tedford & james bethea)#

let's be real here, if jimmy "shell game" k wasn't so busy with tryna fundraise $125,000,000 cash for his women's quidditch practice facility, it wouldn't always be my responsibility to mentor coach wilcox re: his creeping gameday conservatism which would allow me more time fundraising well spent dollars for talking rescue horses, dogs & cats in maricopa county

slim wadie tole me this morning that when rich as **** guys in north scottsdale see me walking towards them these days, they apparently already know ima gonna fist bump them, ask them how their golf game is these days, probably do a headstand particularly if there are any attractive females giving us the side eye & then ask for a shelter donation check of $25,000 and that most of these guys are gonna just give me the ******* money just to get my high motor broken down sorry azz outta site (until the monster sees them again next time)

yeah what's in ur wallet, chica?

california golden bears (1-0): 86
cal state earthquake matadors (0-1): 56

jayda curry (starter): she got the swagger vibe of a boss lady, the all american superstar is gonna lead the pac 12 in scoring & this time them dumb azz coaches r gonna name her to the pac 12 1st team

lutje schipholt (starter): 16 points on a highly efficient 6-10 field goals plus 7 boards, her conditioning is a significant notch better than last season, looks sleek & mobile

leila mcintosh (starter): downtown xavier prep's team leader knocked down a mid courter from breakfast ***** in the cambria hotel, but the $1,000,000 question is coach charmin gonna wear her out again playing her 35+ minutes a game?

kemery martin (starter): loved her unsuccessful drive on the basket (none of the pee wee guards last season could create their own shots) plus she grabbed 5 boards

peanut tuitele (starter): the missing physical interior presence that has been missing during the coach charmin era in berkeley, 9 boards but stats don't fully explain her value to this team

michelle ugonne onyiah: my favorite cal basketball player got a bouncy exuberance that reminds me of the love in my heart for all them rescue homeless creatures, she also has put in the time & her once crooked azz shooting stroke is now an absolute thing of pure simplicity drainology from the free throw line

karisma ortiz: this is a high basketball iq gym rat who pickpocketed 3 steals from the matadors, really like her shooting stroke, let it fly baby

amaya bonner: the teams only +1 athlete, she can do things that would make superwoman blush plus the dragon got great eyelashes (shocky got a solid latisse game thx to taylor), giraffe brows r hott

claudia lagarita: got a little frustrated tonite, 4 fouls due to reaching with the hands & not moving her feet but she still scored 6 points in only 13 minutes, got an innate sense for scoring points

sela heide: the game's indisputable mvp with 8 points on 4-5 field goals along with 3 boards, 2 blocks & very importantly no fouls, the post game celebration with team leader jaydn bush was priceless

mia mastrov: absolutely love the high trajectory arc on the lefty's 3 pointers plus she is much more composed when handling the ball this season...huge props for the crafty as **** no look pass to a teammate for an uncontested 3 pointer

ornela muca: teammates went ape**** when she drained a 3 pointer from coastal mykonos...alredy signed by warner brothers to play pippi longstocking in a feature 2026 blockbuster movie

bella stevens: the bmx tuff as **** athlete is unquestionably the best women's basketball walk on in the modern era, huge upside for pasatiempo high school's finest

celebrate now a fantastic season opener victory but this **** is gonna get live this saturday against them #9 ranked notre dame fighting irish in st louis on national tv

welcome to berkeley elite shooter 6'5" rodney brown, ur the best shooter to sign with the bears during the mark fox era...this program don't gotta lotta shooters that don't got crooked azz shooting strokes, ur gonna start as a true freshman next november but ur gonna have to gain some serious muscle if u wanna defend at a high level in the pac 12

fun cal's monster good looking offensive line contest:

prize: annual membership at shocky's t-rex yoga/meditation studio in yountville (including 2 free walkings rounds at brambles plus a tasty desert at bouchon bakery too) or a $1,000,000 promissory note

winning response requirements: 1st person to name all 15 california golden bears from the left bench front to back to the right bench front to back at arthur macs in oaktown

kinda helpful hint: graduate assistant zach werlinger from ocotillo's 3rd nine likes free food

rules: future head coach in waiting mike saffell is not ******* eligible to win this contest, all rules & winner determinations are completely both arbitrary and capricious & shocky reserves the right to award all prizes to a curvy brunette yoga female instead of some white dude that got good guesses or something...all entries that reference leo tolstoy will be deemed ineligible primarily because he's dead...multiple entries will result in immediate disqualification unless you got a tight yoga azz in which case u can do whatever the hell u want (just keeping it real here)

election nite voting results: in the next hour (unless minko stinko poops behind the 10' tall eliza the giraffe with long beautiful eyelashes statue in the upstairs yoga/meditation room, it should be noted that eliza is very low maintenance which is a great quality for all females imo) the results of harebear's entry will be tabulated by the mgmt team of the t-rex yoga studio in yountville with dominion voting system machines

early tease: spencer lovell aka the lead singer for before the dawn is indeed the 1st person on the left bench

15) Everett Johnson

this is probably the most gut wrenching academic moment in harebear's life since he aced his berkeley final in mathematics 285: derived noncummatative algebraic geometry & non linear geography of western european countries

1) CORRECT- spencer lovell is not only the lead singer for before the dawn but he's also the only male between the ages of 15-35 from fort collins colorado who is not actively engaged in the growing and distribution of marijuana

2) CORRECT-dashaun harris is the silent partner of ftx cryptocurrency, he's having a real bad ******* day

3) CORRECT-ben coleman barely got to dinner on time cuz he's just started taking yoga/meditation classes to improve his bend, flexibility & quick twitch reflexes but mostly just to talk to yoga girlz in tight azz lulu lemons

4) CORRECT-brian driscoll's attitude is moving from la jolla to national city this week

5) CORRECT-coach mcclure secretly wishes he wuz a pirate or something, his favorite letter is rrrrrr

6) CORRECT-matthew cindric is the smartest bear of them all & it's not even close

7) CORRECT-tj session is just glad to be out of freezing azz white montana

8) WHO THE **** KNOWS?-yeah it's probably colin moroney but all them white guys with dark hair & sorry looking porn staches kinda look the same...dylan jemtegard, ryan lange, bastian swinney & ender aguilar cannot be ruled out beyond a reasonable doubt

9) CORRECT-why does jackson brown cut his own hair, isn't there a supercuts nearby?

10) CORRECT-my favorite bad azz poly karate chop haka dancer but he's wishing he wuz at benji's cookout instead

11) CORRECT-did you u know that zach werlinger once ran for a 11 yard touchdown vs them nau lumberjacks as the arizona wildcats quarterback back in the day?

12) CORRECT-joshua stovall's dad is the lead horticulturist for disneyland but joshua is already signed to be featured in the next star wars movie as chewbacca
https://calbears.com/sports/football/roster/joshua-stovall/21544

13) CORRECT-tho brayden rhome's dad is credited with solving the canal beheading serial murders in phoenix it's actually his son who solved the mystery

14) CORRECT-as a dual citizen of the usa & canada colin hamilton had never had pizza before this nite cuz they don't got that at tim hortons

15) CORRECT-everett johnson is often hassled by berkeley pd cuz he looks like bigfoot

it should be mentioned that you failed to mention that the empty spot in front of jackson brown was occupied by trent ramsey who was sick en el bano due to too many servings of octopus anchovy pizza or something

look harebear, you did a commendable job and should be complimented for your distinguished entry but before a final determination is made in this contest re: the potential prizes, it's very important that you provide a simple answer to one final question: is this a current foto of you or what?

the quest continues for an immediate impact cornerback with an offer to 5'11" 185 lbs kapena gushiken from saddleback community college who runs a self reported 4.3 40

gushiken is originally from kamehameha high school in maui & is interested in studying to become a teacher/coach

watch this video, notice how quickly he closes/drives on receivers & violently tackles them, that's something that did not happen last sat nite vs usc (cal's backup cornerback also often played with 10 yard cushions, that's no bueno amigo)...his press/bump coverage skills are also physically impressive & he's definitely fast enough to play tight man to man coverage

kapena currently got an official visit scheduled to purdue to for the 2nd weekend in december, getting him to berkeley for the big december 3rd/4th recruiting weekend would be a big deal

philbert, you made it out of lansing after all that happened?...after the impact statements, after the castle?

reality is that cal's monster class & cal's monster class deux (which totaled 5,000,000+ views back in the day) are blocked right now, only greg richardson can unblock them...no longer got any issues with greg, yesterday is no longer leaking thru the roof, we both bleed blue & gold and hopefully we'll get to chat at a football game this fall...we are stronger together in our mutual passion than further afar

the much bigger issue is that right now mark fox got the oldest coaching staff in college basketball, his 4 person staff (including him) is 200 years old...recruiting is best not done by old white guys (and that's why marshall is the lead contact on all quarterback recruiting in conjunction with billy m), today's recruiting environment requires 24/7/365 contact during the ncca permissible recruiting windows so you gotta be able to talk to young guys & build meaningful relationships

watching the football pregame warm ups last saturday fox & his staff were on the field near the arizona bench with a very skinny 6'8" black high school prospect & his moms...can the prospect trust/relate to this staff & wanna be developed both mentally & physically in berkeley?...will moms be on board too?...rooting for that to happen but based upon the top player each of the last 2 seasons departing with eligibility remaining is not a good sign...the new recruiting world for both basketball & football requires coaches to be likable, otherwise the portal is gonna be well traveled

devin curtis is the player i walked by on the field prior to the arizona football game, welcome to berkeley to devin & his moms (she gotta beautiful smile), this is the right 50 year decision

curtis is listed as 6'11" 210 lbs, that is not even remotely accurate unless you count the very top of his hair to the bottom of high soled basketball kicks...in real life he's closer to 6'8" 185 lbs...so devin's challenge in seeing the floor anytime soon is that he's not tall enough to play the 5, not strong/muscular enough to play the 4 & not skilled enough to play the 3 and that's why all of his other actionable offers are lower mid majors

so what's gonna be his future role on the team?...if devin can pack on 25+ lbs of muscle he could be nightmare mismatch at the 4 against thicker less quick twitch athletes...the most noticeable thing about curtis that you immediately notice in person are his levers, he got unusually long arms & length is one of the physical characteristics of elite shot blockers so the upside is there

devin gotta embrace the s&c and nutrition programs from day one in berkeley like his hair is on fire, wait a second maybe it already is or something

make no mistake about it devin curtis got great hair unlike mark fox

Shocky1
How long do you want to ignore this user?

napa, jackson brown made his debut as a california golden bears debut on the road in the coliseum against them usc trojans as a true freshman

8 of his 9 snaps were passing plays (a tough spot to be in with your opponent not concerned with running play responsibilities) & he understandably was challenged in keeping his apex predator edge defender in front of him but he allowed only one pressure & no sacks

now jackson got gameday film to breakdown his techniques plus he truly understands d1 college football gameday speed, brown gotta lotta upside & we can all look forward to seeing him develop further this saturday nite against oregon state particularly with run blocking assignments hopefully mixed in too

yeah tony was watching his beloved son compete from further afar in the stars last saturday nite & guiding him, he's smiling in what's truly a moment of love & he know jackson is not gonna stop until it's over (and who knew shocky is the lead singer, that cindo after a bad haircut is the bassist, that bastian swinney is the drummer, that colin hamilton is the back up rhythm guitarist & that everrett johnson is the lead guitarist for temper trap?...flannel is never a good fashion look, ej)

cal's monster class unofficial golf world rankings:

professional division:

1. max homa-ranked #18 in the world trending upwards with a fall pga victory at silverado...shutting it down right now after move from north scottsdale to the arcadia neighborhood & imminent birth of his child (a boy) with his wife lacey...will return to action at tiger's hero challenge in early december in the bahamas

2. colin morikawa-#9 in the world trending downwards as he continues to look for solutions with his putting & clearing out his left side to ensure his world class shotmaking fade as the best ball striker in the game...gonna play next week at the mayakoba next week in mexico & get married to katherine zhu very soon

3. byeong hun an-#33 in the fed ex standing playing lights out after regaining his pga card after a year on the korn ferry tour, another good week right now in bermuda at -8 heading into the final round tomorrow

4. james hahn-#147 in the fed ex standings, will play next week in mexico

5. michael kim-has surprisingly missed the cut on a consistent basis this fall after regaining his pga card after a year on the korn ferry tour...part of his transformation included a swing change to gain a draw which has added much needed significant driving distance off the tee

6. brandon hagy-the 2nd fastest clubhead speed on tour lost his pga card & will play on the 2023 korn ferry tour with non guaranteed status/starts, his short games woes coincided with his move from north scottsdale (whisper rock like former teammate homa) to less than golfing ideal weather charlotte...withdrew this week during the monday qualifier for bermuda

college division:

1. sampson zheng-the solidly built 6' 210 lbs junior got an exceptional 70.33 stroke average this fall & is gonna finish in the top 20 of the asia pacific amateur in thailand this week (the winner gets a masters invitation)

2. nathan wang-nobody saw this coming, the lefty true freshman fashionista from fremont is playing with swagger after getting his azz handed to him in his 1st collegiate tournament in arkansas...huge fun & fearless upside kinda like kai milner

3. aaron du-gonna finish in the top 50 of the asia pacific amateur, his lack of elite length means that everything gotta be clicking for the 5'7" 148 lbs junior

4. jeewon park-the asu transfer gotta limit his bad hole damage to bogeys, expect improvement this spring

5. tony chen-the fast improving sophomore has played half of his rounds in the last 2 tournaments under par

6. simon kwon-johnny miller's grandson from salt lake city got the skills to warm up his game & go from pretty good to very good this season

7. ethan chung-the usc transfer gotta put a governor on his bad hole blow ups, mental discipline is part of the solution

8. costas panay-experienced junior

9. daniel heo-true freshman in development mode

10. charles berridge-dad is opening the new coore & crenshaw (shocky is the only person in the world to have played every hole ever designed by the game's top living architects, c&c) in middletown which is not further afar from my future t-rex yoga/meditation studio in yountville

11. papon sawatyanon-sophmore has not played yet

monumental signing day announcements for cal golf:

coach walter chun signed today the nation's #1 class including the best junior player in the world in eric lee along with arguably top 10 talents in the 2023 class in uber talented ethan fang & sihao cong while tyler lee gotta lotta upside

continuing in the legacy of the relentless indefatigable coach steve desimone, coach chun has now got the final pieces of the puzzle to compete for national championshps the next 4 years starting in 2023

this has all been accomplished despite scholly restrictions & no on campus golf course/practice facility like asu, texas, oklahoma state, etc. & other national powerhouse programs

some people in life make a lotta excuses, winners just outwork the competition every single day to achieve their goals regardless of the obstacles

this is cal golf (haas/spieker biz school then the pga tour)#

4) Brian Driscoll, pride of La Jolla
5) Angus ("Aye Aye") McClure
6) Matthew Cindric
7) T.J. Session
8) Colin Moroney
9) Jackson Brown
10) Sioape Vatikani
11) ZACH WERLINGER
12) Joshua Stovall
13) Brayden Rohme
14) Colin Hamilton

15) CORRECT-everett johnson is often hassled by berkeley pd cuz he looks like bigfoot

it should be mentioned that you failed to mention that the empty spot in front of jackson brown was occupied by trent ramsey who was sick en el bano due to too many servings of octopus anchovy pizza or something

look harebear, you did a commendable job and should be complimented for your distinguished entry but before a final determination is made in this contest re: the potential prizes, it's very important that you provide a simple answer to one final question: is this a current foto of you or what?

cal's monster offensive line#

Wow I am humbled and honored to have performed so well in this contest (as they say, "If you're not first you're last!", but in this case as the only entrant perhaps I am both first and last?).

I would gladly accept membership into a premium tier of the "Cal OL/DL Appreciation Society".
I will accept that over the Yountville plyometrics (it seems that the criteria for that prize are pretty narrow) or a promissory note paid in Crypto (got FTX?) over a 10 year period although I may regret passing that up because that's the kind of deal that would be a feather in the cap of much more prominent individuals than yours truly.

make no mistake about it, harebear, if the fbi had hired you to lead their western states multi jurisdictional serial murder task force with your superior facial recognition identification skills, the zodiac killer would've been caught a long time ago

too bad you don't qualify for the award prizes portion of this contest but we are not here to make assertions based upon looks/appearances/brunette hair, cal's monster offensive line thread is a judgement free safety zone for everybody in north america & it's territories such as the maori warriors near kauri cliffs and so forth

harebear & zach werlinger are not dumb azzs#

this is great but to be honest with you would rather see some videos of our granite cal's monster offensive line doing yoga to improve their bend, flexibility & quick twitch movements

let's be real here, s&c johnson needs to adjust & customize his approach for the o-line room
