He could definitely have been a possible depth guy, but the announcement makes it appear as if he's some kind of savoir. Barring injury, he wouldn't have been a starting player at Cal. His injury last year opened the door for Vatikani, who is our most promising offensive lineman. I'm hoping that backup roles will be filled, at least in part, by some of the younger players on the roster. The real desperate need is for tackles, and he wasn't going to help us at that position.tequila4kapp said:

spencer won a starting guard job early last season but before his injury his lack of mobility & inability to play in space particularly in the notre dame game wuz exposed as he couldn't pick up blitzing apex predators either on stunts or straight up much less run quickly enuf as a pulling guard in the blocking game, **** got stuffed
yeah lovell wuz open for biz more than the new york city subway system for turnstile jumpers

this is a real sad deal, a high academic achieving true student athlete with his sites upon the haas b school that got the respect of his teammates not only for his football skills but also his contagious smile/enthusiasm
but then a concerned little league dad (with advanced knowledge of the nfl & quarterback development) got too involved & now his son is in flagstaff & has traded in a degree from the #1 ranked public university in the world for a northern arizona degree
still hoping kai balls out as a lumberjack in front of the fam that will be making the 2 hour drive on gamedays but that's not much of a consolation prize

Shocky - Not everyone has the same values. Do you know what Chris Street wants to do with his life? Perhaps he wants to be a football coach.
