a critical aspect of recruiting is connecting the dots, coach masden & his staff gotta lotta relationships that are involved behind the scenes in the successful 2023 reconstruction of the cal basketball roster

the monster sent an email to the director of basketball operations david ford a couple of weeks ago advising that it is critical for selling out haas again with 10,000+ fans on gamedays like it wuz during the cal's monster class era to bring in an asian player (whether it be on scholly or as a walk on) to energize the student/season tix fanbase...just winning games won't motivate tix sales on gamedays

right now there are conversations with dayton portal transfer mike sharavjamts (front row left) a highly skilled 6'8" combo guard/forward from ulaanbaatar mongolia who as a freshman last season made the atlantic 10 all rookie team...mike wuz born in phoenix & his dad sharavjamats wuz the 1st asian harlem globetrotter...he got 3 years of remaining eligibility & would be an instant fan favorite (with more branding/marketing nil opportunities than anywhere else in the usa in the culturally diverse san francisco bay area) along with being a multiple year starter in berkeley

also in play for the 13th & final scholly is uc riverside's zyon pullin (back row left) a dynamic combo guard with 18.3 ppg on a lethal 39.4% 3 point shooting along with a solid 4.2 assists per game...zyon got his name in the nba draft right now but if the feedback is that he gotta further his game to elevate his nba stock, it might make a lotta sense to develop/get coached up by mad dog & for the the pleasant hill native to return home to the bay

cal basketball's nil dollars are nowhere what it's gonna take for grant but the reality is that he really wants to stay in the nba draft if any organization indicates they will draft him in the 2nd round of the 2023 draft

the staff's real focus is trey, been asked not to discuss specific nil dollars, but it's significantly less than aziz & grant but probably a lot more than most fans realize...woodbury is the true facilitator/distributor that is lacking right now on coach masden's reconstructed roster which gotta lotta combo guards/scorers

aziz (looking forward to meeting him this fall when playing camargo) is a potential lottery pick as a +2 athletic defensive disruptor (there are always gonna be cold shooting games on the road in hostile venues against nationally ranked teams, bandaogo's unique shot blocking/altering skills are the key to winning those battles) & is the necessary missing piece of the puzzle for a potential national championship cincy's monster class

since life is not linear (and the future is unknowable) i don't have any significant regrets in life but sometimes when hiking with them crazy azz rescue mutts up the mountain shocky sometimes wonders if that back in the day when he wuz 100% invested in the future of the cal basketball program that he shouldn't have just financed $100,000 travel expenses for roosevelt barnes in exchange for his signature as guardian for silent commit caleb swanigan which wuz the necessary (ivan playing out of position at the 5 wuz no bueno, young ivee could've slid to the 4 with big sauce as the 5) missing piece of the puzzle for cal's monster class national championship that never happened (kinda like my handstand)

2023 incoming lefty randi roelling of central catholic in modesto has not only led the state of california in strike outs the last 2 seasons (418 as a junior, 319 this season in less innings pitched) but perhaps more remarkably only walked 34 batters this season (an almost 10 to 1 ratio)...the bears pitching staff this season struggled with control in often pitching behind in the count & issuing 176 walks vs 220 strikeouts

so randi's final high school game is this saturday for the d3 state championship, check out the crazy azz celebration/back flips after their last game (it's kinda like the t-rex flow class at modern yoga or something)

tied for 4th at 7 under looking for his 1st pga title byeong hun an, tied for 12th at 4 under max homa with a birdie on his final hole, michael kim driving it longer with his newly developed draw tied for 28th at 2 under par & fellow haas biz ad grad colin morikawa tied for 51st at even & continuing to dig himself our of his disastrous 5 over par front nine 40 yesterday

and yeah shocky won $238 from his ugly azz male stripper b****** which will be 100% donated to them rescue mutt doggys

answer: Our pricing model for football and basketball is reflective of the market we are in and we have affordable tickets and payment plans for fans.

question: How are these 2 market share spaces being systematically pursued for season tix/gameday tixs selling opportunities?

answer: We continue to do market research and implement strategic plans to make us competitive in the market.

question: Why does she (Markeisha Everett) still got a 11 person communications team, can the coaches of these non revenue sports not write their own gameday reports which would allow this department to be rightsized to a couple of employees like her peer institutions that don't have Big 10 financed affluence?

question: Has Tom Lowry borrowed any funds either externally or internally from the University during the last year and if so what are the repayment terms for that debt?

answer: Yes, the department has. Please contact the Campus CFO to inquire about the repayment terms for the bridge loan we took from the campus in FY22.

further update: I've asked Beth for a one or two sentence response summarizing the total dollars that have been borrowed from the Central Campus.

question: Was Coach Charmin Smith's contract extended another year like other coaches due to COVID and when does her current contract expire?

answer: Yes all coaches including Coach Smith's contract was extended due to the pandemic.

question: What steps is the Athletic Department taking to reduce costs given the uncertainty of future revenue flow?

answer: We continue to monitor the changing landscape of college athletics and will continue to review and adapt when necessary. We are always looking for ways to increase revenue and hold down costs. Over the past three years, we have instituted hiring slowdowns, temporary pay reductions for coaches/staff, and reductions to sport and administrative operating budgets in order to balance revenue with expenses.

i've made a public records request for this information & also emailed the cfo of the central campus with a carbon copy to lowry requesting this simple information that should less than a minute to share with me

at a time of declining conference revenues/future uncertainty & less projected future donations to the athletic department (dollars will instead flow nationwide to nil collectives) it is financially reckless that knowlton decided to borrow money that will never have the funding for repayment rather than address the real issues of 30+ financially unsustainable sports, non performing coaches like charmin smith and costly buyouts due to his mismanagement of fox's contract & bureaucratic bloat within the department



a tale of two cities:

in pullman they are recognizing the new financial realities & cutting costs as financially responsible stewards to ensure cougars sports can compete in the future

in berkeley the con artist & his trusted confidante "jenny" have instructed cfo tom lowry (former air force employee, his dislike of cal football is apparent within 5 minutes of speaking with him) to borrow money from the central campus which will never realistically be available for repayment (long after they've departed berkeley never to be seen again)

and that's why they are requiring me to submit public records requests, they do not want to transparently share with me (and by extension you) the debt that they are amassing in berkeley

and that's just ****** up

the good news is that the original munger redacted report is not favorable for knowlton & simon-o'neil, the current chancellor investigation into both of them will be grounds for their terminations...u can bookmark this prediction, ok?

the con artist with his $1,300,000+ salary is taking a page out of the larry scott career management playbook...he's not gonna cut any of his financially unsustainable 30+ sports or reduce his hot mess of lazy azz bureacrats, that's gonna be someone else's problem

that would be the 9th hole at colonial country club (next door to tcu) this week:

1st round: driver pushed right into fairway bunker, 2nd shot dumped into pond, 4th shot into back bunker, triple bogey 7

2nd round: driver pushed right into fairway bunker, bogey 5

3rd round: driver pulled left into the trees, 2nd shot chip out, bogey 5

4th round: utility club to left fairway, 2nd shot pulled into the bond, double bogey 6

if morikawa could've figured out a workable strategy on this relatively short hole with 4 pars this week instead of 7 over par, he would be in contention today for the trophy

good news for colin is that my guy en fuego architect gil hanse (just did a much improved restoration at lake merced, current renovating the currently closed olympic lake & the us open will be showcasing his terrific work at los angeles country club) is gonna be shut down for gil's restoration starting tomorrow morning (which means shocky can't visit this september when the bears open at north texas, will focus on hanse's new design at pga frisco) & the nines are gonna be flipped which means his nemesis hole is gonna be the finishing hole in next year's tournament

good news for colin is that my guy en fuego architect gil hanse (just did a much improved restoration at lake merced, current renovating the currently closed olympic lake & the us open will be showcasing his terrific work at los angeles country club) is gonna be shut down for gil's restoration starting tomorrow morning (which means shocky can't visit this september when the bears open at north texas, will focus on hanse's new design at pga frisco) & the nines are gonna be flipped which means his nemesis hole is gonna be the finishing hole in next year's tournament

diablo, to be honest with you probably next to nothing will end up in berkeley until knowlton's 2029 contract is terminated (along his anti revenue sports #2 confidante jenny) & a new athletic director is hired

jaylen tole me that when he visited for the football game 2 seasons ago that he spoke to our current athletic director re: the importance of a black father figure/mentor & that he could tell the recipient of that message didn't get it/care about it...and then to confirm that message wuz not received, the unlikeable fox (whose georgia program offered brown $200,000+ under the table) wuz extended another season

so no jaylen not gonna involved in any major fundraising projects with the con artist

the good news is that the current chancellor investigation into knowlton will result in his termination, the redacted portions of the 1st munger report document blatant disregard (perhaps even to the level of criminality) by the con artist of the feedback of suicidal female swimmers

the next athletic director needs to hit the ground running (the athletic department is heading towards financial bankruptcy in its current quest to sustain 30+ teams & is borrowing money from the central campus which will never have funding available in the future for repayment), that's why cal's monster class fully supports the promotion of either andrew mcgraw and/or jay john for the top 2 positions with beth tafolla-voetsch in a #3 oversight position...there's no time for an outsider to do a year "listening" while rome burns

the false narrative put out there by the athletic director & his trove of worthless bureaucrats that is quietly supported by his enablers (who just candy azz soft just look the other way, what time is lunch?) is that jaylen gotta lotta other interests outside of berkeley which is not even close to the whole story for someone who loved his time in the bay...the reality is that there are a lotta folks who would support cal football & basketball if the dumbs azzs running the shows into the ground wuz replaced by football/basketball centric pros who bleed blue & gold

knowlton hates berkeley & leaves town at every opportunity as an absentee athletic director, he had NEVER even been to california (which is mind boggling for a grown azz man) before getting hired away from the air force which is why even after a couple of years of his $1,300,000+ salary he still rents & don't own a home in the bay area

as for jaylen's future the $295,000,000 nba super max contract will be a factor but so will his preference to leave the subtle blueblood racism of boston (and also not being the celtics #2 guy after jayson tatum) while realizing that his hometown atlanta got a lotta of the much more overt southern racism...that **** gets old so returning to the west coast including phoenix would be attractive lifestyle preferences within the mandatory realm of nba team's salary caps which could restrict his mobility

big c, pretty amazing recruiting evaluation work by future cal athletic director andrew mcgraw that resulted in future hall of fame quarterback aaron rodgers playing quarterback for them california golden bears, has the con artist ever assisted in the recruitment of anybody other than mark fox, tom lowry & markeisha everrett???
