kapalua tournament of champions 4th round update:

fantastic week for byeong ben an who closed with a 66 (despite bogeys on the tough par 4 7th & 17th holes) to finish in 4th place at 26 under par...make no mistake about it ben is gonna win his 1st pga tournament sooner than later & shocky is gonna be there...go bears!...cap

crowd favorite collin morikawa played the final nine (unlike last year's 3 bogeys in a row collapse to jon rahm) with 6 birdies to shoot a 65 & finish the week at 25 under par (his same score the prior 2 years too) & a tie for 5th place...his transition to homa's swing coach mark blackburn got him setting up closer to the ball which is returning to action his trademark cut ball flight (last year morikawa would inexplicably hook the ball at the wrong time/place)

max homa took a break from twitter & swearing at his golf ball to shoot a clean 7 birdie/no bogey 66 final round to finish the week tied for 14th at 22 under par...homa nation is gonna roll in 2024

both collin & max are sitting out next week's sony tournament at waialae country club in diamond head on the big island but both ben an & michael kim will be repping the #1 ranked public university in the world

a savvy football record conscious athletic director would buy out the oregon state series against all american running back damien "dui" martinez & quarterback gevani "the real" mccoy & replace it with a home & away series with very beatable hawaii which unlike the state of oregon is an actual recruiting hotspot for prospects of poly descent & also a tropical island roadtrip for the serious (non tv) fanbase

Shockster,

Certainly you been following the Beavs roster decimation? They gonna return one starter on defense and Martinez and not much else on offense. They replacing them with guys who didn't play much including our school. What's done is done. Pick up Silas Bolden or the Beav DE and call it a day. Other issues to complain about

jt, respect ur opinions, did u see qb gevani mccoy almost singlehandedly keep idaho in the game against the bears at memorial stadium a couple of months ago?...even with 2 deep starter portal departures, oregon state got significantly more talent than idaho

coupled with all rb american damien martinez the beavs are gonna move the ball & score points

but agreed the beavs o-line along with wr silas bolden & tight end jack veiling along with the entire d particularly standout defensive end sione lolohea are getting progressively worser during the last 30 days

and yeah shocky got no interest (tho he will stay make the trip under protest, maybe a side trip to bandon dunes) in traveling to the truck stop town of corvallis for the bears currently scheduled opening game in 2025, hawaii would be a lot more fun roadtrip but hey that's just me

thx for the heads up rushing top dog, them miami hurricanes are gonna visit memorial stadium during 2024 & it appears that poffenbarger will be qb1 which from our perspective is way better than facing cameron ward (final choices of miami, florida state or the nfl) again in berkeley

but let's be real here, the hurricanes aren't gonna start at qb1 the best +1 athlete that's available, got it?

Agree ... there is a lot of quick twitch +1 talent in South Beach ... Poffenbarger will have to earn his spot at Miami.

Despite the great season stats his last game was a 0-59 loss to South Dakota St., where he threw 3 interceptions. Against Hawaii, he went 10-31 for 93 yds and 0 TD.
