econ, this year's basketball team (a collection of mostly self entitled non academic bad attitude misfit carryovers from the lazy azz recruiting fox) wuz the most unlikeable roster in the history of cal athletics...ima not gonna detail all their bull**** here but these wuz truly the bad ******* news bears

the biggest loser in this deal is grant who is being "managed" by his little league dad, newell got zero chance of ever earning a dollar in the nba...not earning a berkeley degree means he's got a bright future of folding/handing out of towels & moving boxes

the cal basketball program benefits from the cancerous departure of this lazy azz defender who jogged back on d & never competed for loose balls while failing to root for his teammates...there's also reasons why a former mcdonalds all american like devin askew is heading to powerhouse long beach state & multiple other guys don't got schollys to new schools...rodney brown jr & rodney brown sr are trading a berkeley degree for a virginia tech degree, let's see how that financially work outs in the long run

This is a very intriguing player. Has good size and speed. Is a 3 sport HS athlete and is good in all 3. If he commits to football full time could really good. Plays in a weak league in El Centro. If he played in Orange County he would be higher rated but is a high 3 star regardless.

That, or faking to that before passing, should have been the base play of our offense. As on that play, a great RB like Best or Ott can cut back if the defense over-pursues with lots of gaps to be found.

Only time I've seen the Bears outside of the Bay Area! Hottest game I've ever been to but sitting with my UCLA grad buddy in front of the UCLA student section (with the band) and turning around after JB takes this to the house while I'm getting the middle finger from all the students was the pinnacle of my Bear fandom. (Close second is being filmed up on cheapskate mountain)

happy mothers day to all the moms (and future moms) that sacrifice so much for their children

back in the day shocky caddied at san francisco golf club during his stinson beach high school days for a young australian businessman from sydney who regaled me with stories about the magic of kingston heath & royal melbourne, it seemed like a galaxy away

when shocky got home he excitedly tole his moms (a 1st generation college/berkeley grad from a poor as **** immigrant family in san francisco) that he wuz gonna someday play the world's top 100 courses...my moms gave me one of her beautiful smiles & together we mapped out a written plan (which included my earning a berkeley degree) on the kitchen table that nite to achieve this further afar dream of mine unbeknownst to us at that moment in time that nobody on planet earth had ever achieved this feat...yeah reality is overrated

hoops just gotta academic admissions casualty from a midwest juco baller with upside

the truth is that it's very challenging for jc players to become accepted & earn a degree from berkeley, the cal football program jc graduation rate es no bueno in recent years with the significant exception of the bears pipeline to them san mateo fightin' benjis which holds its student athletes accountable both on the field & in the classroom

props to the bulldogs staff, they are exemplary human beings/mentors that are positively impacting the upward life trajectories of their young men

^ fiscal responsibility dictates that baseball & its high number of counters for title ix purposes be cut & evans diamonds "sold" to the central campus for a $10,000,000-$15,000,000 current knowlton incurred debt reduction with this property then repurposed for the greater good of the university (which is NOT a bunch of primarily white guys from middle/upper class communities playing sorry azz baseball year in & year out while NOT getting selected to the ncca tourament on a consistent basis)


sorry stu but this charade of competitiveness needs to stop now, worrying about anybody's feelings should NOT be a factor in this or reclassifying rugby as a club sport biz fiscal decisions...and the same analysis needs to be done re: potentially cutting both mens & women's track & field programs and repurposing edwards field...bankruptcy & eliminating ALL sports is NOT an option so let's streamline the # of teams to 20ish (which is comparable to peer institutions) that compete for CHAMPIONSHIPS
