$125 is a terrible price point. Cal is admitting a lot of "first generation" college students, who probably start out as non-college sports fans and also may come from families with limited means. They really need to come up with more attractively-priced packages. Maybe $10 for football games ($20 for Big Game), $5 for basketball games. Or $45 for all football games; $35 for all basketball games. Or how about just FREE!
IMO, effectively charging $10/game and giving students free food in the stadium would be more effective than simply giving them free admission. Keep the $125 all-in price and give them a $20 credit for stadium (or arena) food at each game.
