the players & their parents priorities include developing their football skills (the vast majority of the players harbor dreams of getting PAID in the national football league), getting PAID right now by kevin kennedy/lance cooper & earning a berkeley degree (and to a lesser extent the grad biz certificate) while having FUN (which includes winning) in a time knit family atmosphere

all of that is happening right now, the only crack in coach wilcox & his staff's potential credibility is the growing perception among the team members & even some of the staff is that mike bloesch's play calling is both dangerous (running his rb1 & rb2 into telephone poles) & costing jaydn ott millions of dollars in the 2025 nfl draft...if justin does not get involved in this issue this could creak a fissure in his credibility which is very high among the cal family

as alky points out there is a $14,000,000+ million dollar buyout & there is ZERO donor support for that buyout plus nobody thinks knowlton wouldn't just then hire a worser coach

as requested by coach sirmon, the key defensively this saturday will be to right from the jump pressure & knock the **** outta true freshman pack singal caller 6'6 190 lbs cj bailey, do NOT allow the future high upside inexperienced qb1 to get into a rhythm!!

bailey has completed a lotta short passes this season at an impressive 66.4% completion clip but other than clemson has only played against 4 mediocre to bad defenses in louisiana tech, northern illinois, wake forest & last week syracuse

cj's favorite receiver by far is shifty as **** keven concepcion with 39 receptions & the ability to make yards after the catch, he's NEVER been guarded by elite talent like the TAKERS

If he mainly throws short then blitz no good. Or has football changed since I really followed it.

bailey tends to hold the ball for a long time while surveying the field & then making short throws against a stretched out d, dialing up the pressure will take away the time his receivers need to separate from defenders for these short catches that they turn into bigger plays with yards after catch...this is not the mike leach washington state get the ball out quickly aerial attack

cj has not yet shown an ability to air it out deep in the vertical downfield passing attack so knocking the **** outta him in the 1st series is the right scheme against the true freshman qb1

coach sirmon's typical bend but don't break to feel out the opponent is the NOT the right move against the pack this saturday at 12:30 pm at memorial stadium, let's bring the dogs of war upfront from every ******* direction knowing that craig woodson is an elite tackler as are the other TAKERS
